How is your New Years starting out? How will you obtain your goals? First goal, no gaining. 2nd goal, make reasonable expectations for yourself. Onward. What are your goals?

Lose 25lbs by my birthday (end of April). Want to lose 30 total. Piece of cake...er, make that - piece of celery! - msdizmaui  518.6 #224 12:08AM
Lol! Piece of celery! - PirateQueenBriezy  291.4 #660 1:28AM
I've had too much cake and not enough celery. That's my problem. I wish God made celery in chocolate flavor. 😃 - Mrs.mouse  420.1 #306 9:13PM
Goals- lose 20 lbs by May, run more, do yoga, eat healthier, cut down on wine (so sad 😰), and try to reduce stress in my life. - PirateQueenBriezy  291.4 #660 1:30AM
I used to work at a gym and the first few days after the New Year were sooooo busy for new memberships--there was always a line at the membership desk and once you got out on the floor, you had to wait for a cardio machine and we actually had to enforce the "20 minute per machine" rule. Then, by Groundhog Day, things were back to normal--everyone burnt out. Kinda sad, but as much as we stressed that you need to start out slow and pace yourself, people didn't listen. It's important to be realistic. My health-related goal is to try not to let the number on the scale determine my success or failure in my mind. Secondly, I'm going to work on decreasing stress. I had a tough 2012 and I'm going to work harder on positive thinking and try to balance my workload and home life 😊 - Spoonful_O_Sugar  435.8 #283 7:47AM
I think that is wise advice and worthwhile goals. I don't like the word "Resolutions" because they should be more like "Evolutions". Change takes time and if you try to make big changes all at once, you are more likely to fail. But making changes in smaller, more manageable steps is much more likely to lead to success. - D55CR  245.4 #1045 11:02AM
Thank you, and I agree with you 100%--I like the idea of substituting "evolution" for "resolution" :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  435.8 #283 1:20PM
My goal is to end the year weighing less than I started it. I'm trying not to have a specific number, but rather focus on healthy eating and fitness. I hope to run a "virtual" half marathon before the end of the year. - D55CR  245.4 #1045 11:04AM
My goal is to go to the gym at least 3 times a week. Only eat out twice a week. Take my lunch to work. I hope to get down to size 11 by the summer. All around goal. To be happy more. Spend more time with friends. - miss_rachel  118.9 #2746 8:01PM
Those are reasonable goals. - Mrs.mouse  420.1 #306 9:15PM
Hi! I have only been on Chub33 one other time but I am back! My goal for 2013 is to get healthy, stop eating out, go to the gym 3 days a week and do some sort of exercise on the off days. I've decided to pick up running so that I can train for the Tinkerbell next year! I have 53lbs I want to lose and so I've got a ways to go but feeling good so far! - luvmygreenarmyman  171.5 #1976 11:08PM
