okay so I have not been on in over what 2 years almost, but today I heard the heartbreaking news about Market House. The cast member that told me about it was almost in tears. I had to get some buttons today from city hall and the cast member there told me to email and complain. She stated if enough people complain they will not turn it into a starbucks. She stated that enough people complained about the Aladdin show and that was saved so I know there is a LOT of you on here so Im hoping we can save Market house.
I don't mind having a Starbucks, ffp cafe is very well done, but just...not the market house. 😔 - bluefairy

I'm thinking disney needs the sponsorship. Kodak will be gone which is probably not a good thing. If they do make it a Starbucks, lets hope they stay close to the original theme of the market house and old time Main Street. - mightymike®©™

Well this is a blast from the past! Welcome back! I don't drink coffee so I rarely visit the market house. My guess is they will go ahead with the plan regardless of how many people complain because they probably already have a deal in place. - Mimmy

actually it was due to be closed today but from what the cm told me it has been postponed I think if starbucks wants to put in another shop it should be elsewhere & not on main street :( the cm was almost in tears and it really made me sad - mommy_likes_minnie

If they need the sponsorship, wouldn't it be great if they could just keep it Market House, serving Starbucks and just add their products and keep the old, sort of a win, win. If it is like the one in DCA, they did a good job, but it would be sad if it was completely changed, though Walt himself was okay with change. I hope they keep the photo places too, just with a new sponsor since Kodak sadly went bankrupt.:( - secretagentangel

you can go ahead and take the effort into emailing or writing or going to City Hall but it wont do any good. These things are planned out well in advance and its a business decision and they wont mess with the themeing too much of the Market House - Dave

This was a business deal between Starbucks and Disney last year! The deal included 1 Starbucks in all Disney parks! DCA was first DL, Epcot and MK next lastly Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. It was announced sometime in early 2012 - sunshinegrl
