Too late for this Feb, but maybe for next year, if you still want to try the grand, look into renting dvc points. I would say you probably need to start looking at options a year out, since the grand fills up fast. There are websites online that rent them for $13/point. For the week I was considering, that worked out to half off. One thing to consider, though: you will be in a timeshare property, not a hotel room. So there won't be cleaning/laundry everyday.
