My wife and I have done New Years at the "land" for the past 12 years. If you have never done you need to do it at least once. It has been called the Times Square celebration for the west coast. You have to like crowds. If that is an issue then stay home and enjoy the arrival of the New Year with someone close to you. - p3feret  268.2 #842 9:13PM

Hi! My husband and I went one year and I just couldn't handle the crowds. So if that's something that will bother you then I strongly advise staying away. But there is something to be said for the vibe that goes on there! People were blowing horns all night too. We left around 10. As with much of life, it is easier to deal with things when you know about them in advance. Tomorrows crowds r no different. Maybe the improved DCA will steal some people away.
