Went in to Tower of Terror today with a FP and was told by the CM that beginning next month, every guest MUST return to the FP que in the one hour window stated on their FP. All these years, you could use your FP anytime, as long as it was in or after the one hour window. If that's the case, that's really gonna suck. Has anyone else heard this? Wondering if its true, and whether they are all going to vigorously enforce it.

I've been complying with the one hour window all these years. Didn't know any different. No skin off my back. - HalfCaff  518.2 #402 6:48PM
Haha same here! - DisneyDork95  206.2 #1916 6:51PM
Me too! Lol - hatgal76  449.8 #489 7:55PM
Haha I was the same until last fall when a CM told me it didn't matter - KylaShea  632.7 #319 8:11PM
Same here, just made plans for other things until that hour arrived. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 9:22PM
I think it's about time thy did this. It does defeat the purpose if everyone saves them for the evening. It just makes not only he stand by time even longer but the fp line gets just as long also. - TikiJOSEsWingman  332.4 #733 6:37PM
We have always stuck to the one hour window we were given as well. From what I've read here it does sound like they are going to start enforcing the times. - emmerloo  134.3 #2977 6:53PM
I hate the enforcement. It puts stress on the trip. - BCC  4783.2 #27 8:06PM
I agree. I would hate for something unexpected to happen (long line, stuck on ride, someone gets sick, etc), and miss the window. - BettyPoop  237.5 #1500 9:13PM
Awww shucks! My family has never been very good at following rules. They will take this news as a challenge. :-/ - DisneyGrandma  877.2 #210 7:25PM

For me, we always used to go back during the time listed. Now as a parents of 2 young kids, it's difficult if the time is during nap time or the kids have a melt down or need to eat etc. that's when it is hard to get back to the attraction in time if we need to tend to out children. So that's when I see it as a bad thing. I understand the need but some circumstances should be allowed still - brodysmommy  430.9 #508 9:00PM
This is looooong overdue. Why should you be able to use your Fastpass outside of the allotted time frame? In my opinion it is very selfish of those whom abuse the FP system. It is not fair to the people in the Stand-by line to have to wait even longer to board a ride because of the FP abusers. That is my biggest pet-peeve on here and other Disney boards, seeing the FP abusers whine about having to follow the rules of use. - MoreGumboPlease  229.8 #1610 9:52PM
With a toddler and medical issues, I always enjoyed the freedom afforded me by Disney's flexibility on the matter. I think the whole system will run more smoothly one they enforce this, but honestly, the only time I've had any complaint with the system was on RSR, and that had more to do with the groups of 7-8 that surrounded me in the single rider line. - LittleAprilShowers  587.1 #345 10:01PM
I guess because I never knew they accepted FP past the window is why it's not a big deal to me. I worked with it in each season of life with my family. FP's have been around since I was pushing a double stoller. I also have a child with a chronic illness and have had to get out of many a line to deal with it and start all over. Inconveniences are going to happen and I don't expect Disney to accomodate naps, bathroom trips, etc. - HalfCaff  518.2 #402 10:17PM
Yes, the rumors about CMs enforcing the fast pass time windows have been circulating for quite awhile. I personally have no idea exactly WHEN the enforcement will begin, but it makes sense to me that they'll begin enforcing them--too many people are waiting until the evening to use their FPs, which defeats the purpose. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 6:16PM
I was told the same thing by a CM last week on TOT - QueenBella  175.0 #2317 6:20PM
I thought I remembered reading that on here to start after the holidays. - MeridaFan  4243.7 #34 6:38PM
Althought I like using my fast pass after my time slot I can see the benefit in enforcing it. If everyone decided to get an early FP but save it for the end of the day it defeats he purpose. It is just going to require a slight adjustment to your day. Nothing drastic - KissDclown  1089.1 #167 8:13PM
I have a feeling RSR influenced this new "rule", that line is obviously a beast. I think it's a good idea. Some people abuse the system. - BlackCanary86  69.0 #4189 8:49PM
I'm bummed but completely understand why they are enforcing the times. - PrincessDuckie  905.1 #202 8:51PM
And I hope that guest don't abuse the CM's about this either. - PrincessDuckie  905.1 #202 8:55PM
It's been coming, in my opinion long over due. - dsnydreamer1955  253.4 #1319 9:16PM
This is the first time I've actually heard when, not that they plan to do it in general. I thought they were going to do it before the holidays for crowd control and was surprised that they haven't yet. Oh well. I am a little disappointed but I get it. I try to use my FP's in the window but have always felt a 1 hour window is a little short and 1 1/2 to 2 hours is a little more realistic. - MoonWillow  381.3 #589 9:27PM
I knew this was coming but hoped it wouldn't. My brother's family are Disney World passholders and on my way to Disneyland in June she called & said they just left WDW and they were enforcing it there. (they had new signage and everything). When we were there the week prior to Cars Land opening, we asked a CM; he said he hadn't heard that but often when they start a policy in WDW, Disneyland follows not long afterwards. Schucks. I hate it if I leave one park and go to the other and miss my window-phooey. Rough on young kids and our older folks 😒 - TinkerSchelle  1981.1 #82 9:28PM
I get why they wanna do it, but am bummed about it at the same time. Oh well...guess we'll have to wait and see if it actually comes to fruition. - sammy.aceves  38.5 #5303 9:36PM
Wouldn't it be great though for rides like RSR? Seems like there wouldn't be mad dashes and long lines for fast passes in the morning for that attraction. I'm not a fast pass connoisseur, and hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn. - DisneyDavidEMT  2630.0 #50 9:48PM
Glad to hear there enforcing it - Luv-Mickey  27.9 #6196 10:03PM
This will work in everyone's favor. The FastPass System will work as intended and will truly be a Fast Pass for attractions. - IMissDisney  1205.7 #144 10:08PM
Kind of happy for this and kind of not but well see how it goes. - Hendizl  2821.9 #46 10:10PM
I'm with you. But it probably won't affect us much. Right now we're looking at probably upgrading our passes since our work schedules are so opposite of each other. We used to be able to go during the week and get fp's in the morning and come home for awhile and come back at night if we wanted. Now we can only go a few hours on Sunday morning before hubby has to go back to sleep to go to work at midnight. - Cinderella_Schnooks  3370.7 #42 10:30PM
As with any park policies I'm more than certain the CM's will enforce it with sense and compassion. I have yet to see a CM or lead be unbending in the face of special circumstances and they always put the guests first. - NotSoDapperDan  323.9 #781 10:39PM
Very true! They all have hearts of gold! - Cinderella_Schnooks  3370.7 #42 10:48PM
