It doesn't slow down until about a week after the new year. There are still schools out for winter break the first week of January and the parks will be busy. Both teams from the Rose Bowl along with their families will still be hanging around the parks during that time too. From my experience this year make sure you get to the parks as they open because it will get busy and packed as the day goes on. Can't speak for 1/2-1/5, but 1/1 has always been really nice in comparison to the days preceding. I speculate this is due to Rose Parade, college football, and hangovers. Regardless, enjoy your visit. - stratdad  291.1 #662 5:11PM
