I know that smell. My hubs used to live in a small town and there was a movie store that was run by these 2 brothers and they practically lived there. I swore they never took baths. So freaking nasty! - CaliCanuck

my parents neighboor is a hoarder...he never use too be but he lost his job about 12 years ago and has not worked and is not an outdoors social person and loves computers and they always think he might be dead cause they dont see him for weeks so about 6 months ago after my sisters wedding I he was invited and did not show up so I went over there when I went to pick up dog up and it was scary......I actually video taped it on my flip without him knowing it was so gross he smokes as well........there was layers of dirt and dust on everything and stuff everywhere I will post the link...lol - Dave

That show is one of the better shows out there because then people can see what a real hoarder is and maybe get help before it is to late...or even see signs to get others help? At least that is what I hope - Sassie_Cass

We knew a hoarder. Her house was full of unopened shopping bags which wasn't too awful. The worst was her bathroom where the bath was always half-full of brackish water. She told us proudly that she ran a bath every Saturday night and then just left the water in so she could hop back in each night. ::shudder:: - BLG

Out of curiosity, I searched for Hoarders on YouTube. It came up with a multi-part doco from the UK on hoarding. The most astounding one was a hoarder who had been collecting his own waste in buckets and bottles and bags - for up to three years. Some on shelves in the house, and the shed was full to bursting. Oh man, I'm hooked on watching hoarder videos now and I feel the same way. This one woman with 7 fridges and 4 freezers full of rotting food, and food rotting on the floor in shopping bags. So much food in some of the food she's using a bungee cord to keep it from falling out. Even her car is full of rotting groceries. And there are two children in the home. And she's a nurse. There's no doubt these people are very, very ill - BLG
