As a teacher as well, The moment I read from text from friends, I literally knew that I would have done anything to protect my kids, they may not be my child but once your in my care, I will protect you like you are. It's a tragedy and I can't imagine losing a class amount of my kids, and fearing for everyone around me. May we find healing, and keep them in our hearts and prayers. They may not have been in our lives but any child is a child of ours and we lost beautiful souls and those adults who love our children and would do anything to protect them. Dear God, embrace them with your love, those who died and those felt the pain of losing them, near and far. May you help us heal our hearts and reassure us of your love throughout our lives. I am a teacher as well (kinder)..and I can assure you that I would and will protect eveyone of my students as if they were my own.
