Ok, I just have to share these pics. Aissa insisted on seeing Santa again today, so we did. As she sat down, Santa asked what her name is, so I signed to her to tell him her name. She spell-signed her name and he then asked her how she was doing, in sign language. I took a step back and just watched them converse. I wish I would have gotten it on video, but I started to tear up. Thank you, Disney for allowing my daughter to continue to believe and for making her day. She was absolutely smitten with Santa once she saw him signing. Truly magical. ✨✨✨✨ (the pics on the left are of him signing to her)
I love that he was able to sign to her!! Another reason Disney is amazing and truly magical!!! - Armenda

This reminds me of the Rosetta Stone commercial with Santa and a little German boy. The kid was sad because he doesn't know English but got excited when Santa started speaking to him in his own language. Something like that can make anyone's day. The look on your daughter's face shows how magical her visit with Santa was this evening. - KermitFan13

How old is your daughter @Miki? Maybe we can have a play date one day? Now that Aissa's learning more and more ASL she loves being around other kids that know it too - LBChica 1560.6 #52 12:23AM

That's really cool! I took sign language in college and I love to watch people sign. I hope to one day be an interpreter for events and stuff, if I can find the time once the kids get a little older. - brodysmommy

Beautiful. That made me tear up! I have no clue why we don't teach this beautiful language in schools more often. It's something like the number 2 or 3 most spoken language in the USA. What a wonderful experience! I hope you had a chance to thank Santa over at city hall :) - tiggertwin
