Disney is in the early stages of designing the look for the classic Main Street's Market House for when Starbucks comes in next year, said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman.
The Market House will temporarily close for renovations sometime next year and re-open with Starbucks products in late 2013.
Since opening in 1955, Market House has offered free coffee refills. Visitors who keep their receipts can return for another cup of basic brew any time during the same day.
Disney hasn't said yet whether Starbucks will honor the tradition.
Ginger Miller, of Chatsworth, said she is upset about the prospect of Disneyland changing Market House, especially the possibility of halting the free refills. She started a Facebook page, "Save Free Coffee Refills at Market House Disneyland."
Miller, an annual passholder, heard about the changes from an employee and is urging others to write to Disneyland to keep alive the tradition.
"My sincere hope is that Disneyland will find a way to bring in Starbucks but keep the magic," Miller said in an email. "It is a good tradition and one of the many reasons Disneyland holds a place in my heart that no other theme park could ever fill."
In April, the company announced that it would add six Starbucks in its Florida and Anaheim parks.
The first Disney Starbucks opened in June at Disney California Adventure within the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café. The café often has a long line, with most drink prices higher than Starbucks stores outside the park.
I love Starbucks. But I think they should look for another location in the parks for a Starbucks and leave the market house alone. Put it somewhere near IASW so people can get hot drinks over in that section of the parks. -

Although not our choice, I would really prefer it remain The Market House. We may not be able to live in 1955 forever, and as Walt said "Disneyland will never be completed." But, this is a part of the park that should be nostalgic, remind us all of tradition. I would gladly grab a Starbucks on my way home when I'm back in the real world. -

I will be very disappointed if we lose the cinn tea latte they have at the Market House and the free refills. Perhaps Jolly Holiday has the cinn tea but I didn't see it on their menu. I'm in support of the vintage, nostalgia remaining. -

Starbucks in DCA is priced like airports & hotels. I think there are plenty of other places to put one. By IASW is a great idea W4DE -

I think they should put it with Marvel Land over in Six Flags. -

LEAVE MARKET HOUSE ALONE! Seriously, they have one of the only hot beverages I enjoy at the parks and we don't need another Starbucks. If people have to get their fix so bad, they should have opened in DTD. -

if they will start selling SBUX coffee inside Market House, then keep the interior and ambiance the same... Also, offer a free refill for Brewed Sbux coffee. Just don't make it more expensive -

I don't mind Starbucks in the parks, I think they did a nice job at fiddler in terms of keeping it in line with the theming. However, I don't think the market house is the place for it. It's smaller than a lot of existing Starbucks stores and is always busy as is. Adding some Starbucks drinks might be okay... -

Not a total Starbucks fan either. I like just good ol' coffee-flavored coffee. -
