Christmas Eve 2008 at the Castle!! We go every Christmas Eve, so it was what I thought was our regular stop for the night!! We had just eaten dinner at Plaza Inn and then he said we should walk over to the Castle. We were standing on the left side of the Castle and they had just roped it off for the fireworks, so we were the only ones there. He told me he needed to ask me something and I knew then what would be happening and I got sooo nervous!!! Then he got down on one knee and proposed!!! My grandpa had just passed away that June unexpectedly and his bday was Christmas Eve and he loved DL, so my hubby told me that he decided when he passed that he would propose on what would have been his next bday. Awwwww! I love this post!! 💕 My husband totally tricked me when he proposed. He picked me up from work at 3 in the morning (I worked at Forever 21 and it was a closing shift) I was extremely tired but he had told me before hand that there was a meteor shower going on that night and he wanted to watch it. I said we could watch it after I got off of work so we went to Signal Hill(a hill with such a gorgeous view that is always patrolled at night) I was afraid because it was being patrolled and completely deserted. 3 different police men called him over and I guess he asked for a few minutes because he was going to propose. So we went up the hill, I was looking up at the stars and he started a speech. It was so cute!
