Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I still miss my little doxie. We named him Zacheus "zach" after a man in the Bible who was short. We have five kids, and as soon as each one if them came from the hospital he would always be near them. One time one of my kids had his long floppy ear clinched in his fist. Zachary response wasn't to nip, but he just yelped to alert me to come help him. Dogs are precious. Cherish your many memories, and pictures. 🐶 - 7mouskedoodles  161.1 #2137 8:42PM
So sorry for your loss. I don't think I can ever live without an animal in my life. They are always so happy to see you walk through the door!! If I could post the pic I got recently of when I tortured my cat by putting reindeer ears on her I would. Lets just say that she was NOT happy about it!! - LilSterner  2656.0 #18 8:45PM

I am so very sorry for your loss. In June of last year we lost our kitty to kidney failure. After @5 months of being heartbroken, we decided to search for a new canine family member. Turned out to be the hardest search ever. We were denied from multiple rescue groups, most wouldn't even return a call. Either it was because we have a child, not a big enough backyard or just too many hoops for us to jump through. It was extremely frustrating and sad. One day I searched petfinder (for the billionth time) and expanded the search to the Central Valley. Suddenly, there he was! A mix breed who was picked up by Animal Control because he followed some kids to school. He had been at the shelter for a while, his time was limited. I immediately got in contact with them and after his neuter a few weeks later my daughter and I made the 6 hour R/T trip to bring him home. Wally was matted, had fleas, double ear infections, a tick disease and kennel cough. Poor guy, but he is now all fixed and the best dog we could have asked for. He is the dog in my profile picture, we feel like he rescued us and are thankful everyday that he came into our lives. (((Hugs))) - Linzee  517.2 #225 8:55PM

Aw, so very sorry to hear. Have you read the poem, Rainbow Bridge? It is comforting for a lot of people. We lost our first dog unexpectedly last year, and after a few months of living in a dogless home, We decided to get a new pup, Joey (the one in my profile pic). We were put in touch a wonderful breeder who has now become a very close friend--we even helped deliver Joey's litter (he was the first-born). This photo was taken when he was either 4 or 6 weeks old. On this day, my husband picked him up and Joey burst into a huge grin! Right at that moment, it was decided that he would come home with us :) We miss our first dog so much, but I'm so glad we were open to new adventures with Joey. Big hug to you! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.2 #285 9:05PM

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how precious four-legged critters are to you. So, for you, my funny cat story: in 1988 we rescued a cat from the street. Literally, he was taking a nap in the middle of our street! We called him "Simba" -not after The Lion King, just because I liked the name! We realized he was not the sharpest cat in the litter box. He was a big grey tabby, a good 16 lbs but not fat. We kept him indoors for his own protection, but he loved to eat greens...grass, roses, etc. I had some roses in the bathroom and one day he was gnawing on them. Then I smelled smoke. I look into the bathroom and his fur is on fire because of the candle he was leaning against! But he kept on chewing the roses! I ran in and scared him enough that he took off upstairs and his speed put the fire out! I miss that dumb cuddle bug! Hope you giggled at least a little...the good memories are what truly heals our hearts. ❤🐱🐶 - Gia  785.5 #121 9:57PM

I'm so sorry for your loss. 😪My lab used to jump on the bed and cuddle in my husbands spot next to me after husband got out of bed. My husband would get so mad! Now our mommy puppy snuggle time is when I get home from work late at night when he doesn't have to fight for my attention. - MousekaNinja  335.8 #447 7:24AM
I'm so sorry for our loss. I used to have two dogs when I was younger, one chihuahua terrier and a manchester terrier which was much bigger than our chihuahua. Well we used to catch our Chihuahua in the front yard and couldn't figure our how she had gotten out there. One day I walked outside to see my little dog standing on top of my bigger dog getting ready to jump over. I scolded them but couldn't get over the fact that they had made a doggy ladder. I laughed so hard that day. My big dog also stole two steaks my mom was cooking for dinner. She ran outside gave one to my little dog and kept one for herself. - clarabelle87  184.4 #1815 8:04AM
