Shot of the day... falling tree misses the Mark Twain by about 30 yards. I was alone on the top deck when it happened and realized how close I was to a huge settlement from Disney. Seriously, this tree was big. Anyway, this was taken as we steered backwards to port.
Jack Duncan would have dove in and held it up until the boat was safe. Just sayin... - madsdad

Was that really your first thought? Mine would have been "I really hope no one was hurt!" Just saying...... I am just glad everyone was ok. - tiggertwin

I don't understand how it shows I just joined. Been a member for a while now. And if I did, is that a crime? - kidrericha 0.2 #65446 9:37PM
I really dislike how this excellent piece of news is tarnished by the poster's attitude. A huge settlement from Disney? Really? That's the first thing you thought about? - ladylikesdisney

Hmm was it really windy last night there or is this related to the work they are doing by Big Thunder? - Sarafina

Might have been the rain. Just loosened the soil around the roots enough for it to topple over. - Waites4DodgerEars 689.0 #153 12:41PM
It seems like rain water and just nature in general - MarshaMouse 2935.4 #16 12:43PM
Despite what you must believe, Disney doesn't control nature. Random freaks of nature do not amount to a large settlement. It was something most will never experience there so be happy you did and are safe. - Krissy Marissy

This is true. We had a city tree that was in front of our house fall on our van during a strom. They don't give you any money for that. - aidensmama 339.3 #448 1:46PM
