I'm booking our hotel for our trip in 3 weeks! What are your favorite "Good Neighbor Hotels" to stay at? Recommendations for something cheap and very close.

I just booked from groupon hotel menage for 79 bucks on dec 20th .. Im not sure about how good the hotel is but pics look good.. - DisneyMe2Death  607.7 #184 10:54AM
Aw man wish I had seen that groupon! We are staying there next week. Stayed there before, really liked it. Good service. 24 pool. Nice bar in the lobby. Delicious food at the restaurant for very reasonable prices. And super comfy beds/bedding! - MousekaNinja  372.5 #381 12:56PM
Great deal. Ask where your room is and ask not to be on Harbor (icky & loud) other rooms are nice. Yes as M.Ninja says nice bar & restaurant. Shuttle to Disney regularly but you can walk if you want 15 minutes. - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 4:54PM
They didn't have their own shuttle, but we used the ART. I'd rather pay the money for the ART back at the end of the day than have to walk the extra time after walking all day. =P We stayed on the pool side, it was nice. You can kinda hear the freeway, not too bad though. But we live right by a freeway, so it was no big deal for us. - MousekaNinja  372.5 #381 5:11PM
Yeah we booked two nights for $166 .. Not too shabby. We will definitely be using ART especially when taking my grandmother who in a wheel chair.. :) - DisneyMe2Death  607.7 #184 7:44PM
HoJo or BUST. - AvidDisneyThrifter220  869.6 #106 11:29AM
Depends on what "cheap" is. More expensive during the holidays & depends on the days of the week. I like Anabella and it's a short walk to DTD. - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 10:00AM
HOJO of course if the Mousewait preferred and they have a discount if you call. Very close too! - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 10:00AM
This is SO good to hear...just booked it for Jan. :) - Darlingwendi  681.8 #154 11:49AM
...the Anabella I mean. Hojo was booked. :( - Darlingwendi  681.8 #154 11:56AM
DarlingW-1st floor rooms have wood floors (yay no ick carpet). They have rooms with extra sleeping area (ask if available) which is a tiny room with daybed/tv/dresser (about 7x10). Nice for a couple small kids or a teenager. - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 5:22PM
It's sister girls trip...no kids :) - Darlingwendi  681.8 #154 5:31PM
Even Better! Bar is nice and easy walk to DTD it's basically at end of Disney way. - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 5:38PM
The Howard Johnson would be a great choice! They offer discounts to MouseWaiters, too. Just mention the app to someone. :) - JRDrummer_CM  793.0 #123 10:00AM
We're staying at the Portofino on the 8th, seems very nice! - GarnerPhotography  321.4 #532 10:11AM
"Cheap" meaning below $100 per night. It's a 2 night, 3 day trip & we are NOT picky with "motel 6 -ish" hotels haha. - landoversky  95.8 #3128 10:13AM
I have stayed at Abby's Anaheimer Inn, its an older hotel but reasonable and close to the park. I have also stayed at La Quinta on Clementine and if you use the corp code LOVES you can get a discount. :) - Armenda  1059.4 #82 10:18AM
Do you remember the price per night with the discount? :o - landoversky  95.8 #3128 10:20AM
It changes depending on how close to the date you book. I looked earlier this week for a hotel this weekend and it was about $90ish. Abby's Anaheimer is about $57 a night depending on the size. - Armenda  1059.4 #82 10:21AM
Motel 6 main gate was great! - GarnerPhotography  321.4 #532 10:20AM
The HoJo 👍 - Linzee  533.5 #218 10:52AM
I've gotten the Anaheim plaza for 50 bucks more than once. The rooms are nice but the outside can use a refurb. And it's across the street. Parking is $4 a day - Philliprocks  306.7 #589 11:01AM
Stayed there twice, terrible. Only stayed there the second time on accident because they changed names. Floors are gross. Paper thin walls. Hard as bricks beds. Some of the cheapest rooms in the area for a reason. And not worth it to me. - MousekaNinja  372.5 #381 5:14PM
Me either Mouska! Maybe PhillipR has the good room :) - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 5:40PM
Stay away from the Alamo! Go on Priceline or Bookit and you are sure to find a suitable place for cheap. We usually do the Bookit 3 star mystery hotel which is usually the clarion. The Clarion is great, and you can walk right across the street and hop on the toy story shuttle that will take you right up to the main gate. Hope that helps! 😊 - AshleyLynn22  748.1 #137 11:02AM
But HOJO is the best! *sorry Admin!* 😛 - AshleyLynn22  748.1 #137 11:05AM
If you use priceline "express deals" pick Anaheim North only! I have always had a walking distance hotel. ie: $72 dollar room for $49. AshleyLynn - yes Clarion is good I have stayed lots for Convention Center. - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 5:30PM
HoJo has really good rates for AP's and MW'rs. And it is very close and walkable in 5 minutes. Suggesting any other hotels is a points rank reduction by Admin. LOL his threat not mine. - splashphotoCM  881.7 #104 11:03AM
But what if the HOJO is all booked? We have to have other places to stay and recommend, right?? ;) - MousekaNinja  372.5 #381 5:16PM
Of course HOJO is first choice. It has been booked most times I have tried so MW must be doing a good job w/them! - ShariRenee  1577.0 #51 5:17PM
HoJo Fo Sho - Mouse4life  1086.2 #78 11:09AM
I would say jojoba if I've stayed there but to many In our family. We just stayed at the del sol inn. It's directly behind Denny's right across street from disneyland. We were very pleased and for seven of us it was extremely affordable. 😄👍 - Tinkerbellmom4  300.3 #626 11:44AM
Jojoba is also a good choice. - Mouse4life  1086.2 #78 11:45AM
We usually stay at the del sol, they have discounts for annual pass holders and are really close, which counts when your feet are screaming at you after a long day at the parks :) Have fun on your trip! - CinderellasMommy21  236.4 #1176 1:02PM
Definitely HoJo large rooms with fridge and free wifi. - leafs17  61.8 #3601 1:05PM
We recently stayed at Zabys motor lodges and were pleasantly surprised. rates were 65 on a holiday weekend. not much to look at on the outside, but the rooms are updated and clean. and an easy walk to the park too! - tuesday737  1085.3 #79 1:06PM
Marriott is always our favorite. - LoveDL55  15.0 #5797 5:07PM
Utilize websites such as Priceline & Hotels.com! - GrimGrinningAmanda  323.8 #522 5:38PM
Anaheim Maingate. Stayed there a few times. Not bad and an easy walk. Went through priceline. - JKemp  12.3 #6300 6:30PM
Try America's best value. Nice. Some of the rooms are kinda like family suites. The staff is VERY helpful. - mattc  181.7 #1880 6:31PM
Great thread. I was wondering about some of the other hotels. We have stayed at the DLR or HoJo. HoJo has comfortable beds, and clean. No breakfast, but free wifi. All kinds of food places on the way to DL. Mimi's Cafe has a pretty good frittata in the morning. - Sugarbuzz  55.4 #3698 6:55PM
Sheraton Anaheim or Park are good! - goofygal  2684.7 #21 7:03PM
We usually use Priceline and have never been disappointed. We've stayed at Marriott Suites, Convention Center Hilton, and both Holiday Inns for $40-50 per night (some hotels charge extra for parking, but when the room is so cheap, it doesn't bother us). - Spoonful_O_Sugar  439.2 #288 7:03PM
