*Paging Avid Disney Thrifter* Got your awesome RAK today (well, sort of...didn't get to open it. This was how it came.) You are SO sweet & generous! Unfortunately, I'm sad to say that the DisneyWorld pin you added didn't make it :( It breaks my heart to know it's lost somewhere. I can only hope that it went to a good home. Thank you so much for the AMC movie tickets. They will definitely be put to good use! Looking forward to Date Night thanks to you!! :)

Since I'm the one who originally rakd these to Avid, let me know if you are able to use those rumpled up tickets for AMC. If you cant I will gladly send you a new set of two.. πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž post office. - DisneyMe2Death  607.0 #181 5:45PM
That is very sweet of you - Hendizl  1313.1 #61 5:49PM
That IS very sweet of you...thank you but I'm sure it will be fine. :) - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:11PM
the big "WE CARE" bit just seems like they're flipping the bird at you, doesn't it? sorry. - nicoleface  1281.6 #65 5:22PM
Yeah, my thoughts exactly when I first got this. "We care but oh well!" - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:09PM
Well that's a bummer but at least you got something!! ☺ - CourtyAstroBlisters  440.7 #282 4:41PM
I agree and am very thankful :) - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:22PM
Aw I'm so sad for this!! 😒USPS does NOT care apparently. - MousekaNinja  335.8 #448 4:42PM
No offense to anyone who might work there, but don't get me started. I have lost a few valuable items via the USPS, so I don't use them much anymore. πŸ˜’ - PeachKay  310.6 #558 6:28PM
😱 The thought is what counts. She is a nice MWer indeed. - kristian  1786.4 #43 4:42PM
Agreed! - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:13PM
Oh no!!! :( this irritates me because it's happened before but coming to me! :( phooey, darn mail care! But I'm glad you got the movie tickets as intended! (You get the babysitter RAK I sent, yet!?! Lol) I hope you are able to use them on a date night soon! :D I'm sorry the pin didn't make it! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  851.5 #107 4:57PM
It looks like it was not hand stamped and maybe went through the machine. The pin may have gotten stuck and rumpled everything up. Just a guess. Try a padded envelope next time 😊 - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1803.1 #42 5:05PM
(ha! looks like I did not refresh fast enough) - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1803.1 #42 5:08PM
Sorry Churro didn't see yours here, I said same below :) - ShariRenee  1562.5 #51 5:52PM
I'm sorry your pin got lost too. Thanks again!! Hope the sitter gets here safely...lol ;) - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:15PM
Happened to one of the Navy coins our son sent while on deployment. Apparently, it was to thick for the automated machines at the post office. As a lesson, if sending anything that is too thick or odd shaped, have the postal worker hand stamp it, or a little bubble mailer. No fun to lose something in the mail. :( - Sugarbuzz  50.5 #3750 5:01PM
Yea I'll definitely look into that! I thought it'd be okay because I've gotten pins in the mail straight from envelopes just fineπŸ˜” live and learn, though.. - AvidDisneyThrifter220  851.5 #107 5:04PM
Exactly. Due to the use of automated sorting machines, any envelope that is too thick or uneven in shape can cause problems in the machine or be damaged. Something like a pin should be mailed in a padded envelope or in a small box. Usually you would pay extra for it to be hand sorted. - bluefairy  627.4 #174 5:06PM
Hmm... I've never had to pay to have it hand done. Maybe being small town? - Sugarbuzz  50.5 #3750 5:11PM
Sometimes if you use an automated machine, it will ask you certain questions to determine if it will need special handling, which does bump the cost up a little bit. - bluefairy  627.4 #174 7:56PM
Good to know. I'll keep that in mind. - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:16PM
😒 - Philliprocks  277.5 #753 5:08PM
Oh man that sucks :( - Hendizl  1313.1 #61 5:14PM
OMG! What did they do to it?! What a bummer. - singinaurora  4.2 #12912 5:29PM
So sorry that happened. In the future if mailing other than paper use a padded envelope. This probably went through the machine & caught on the pin & ripped it open. I mail a lot of stuff for work to Maui and get schooled by the P.O. all the time. - ShariRenee  1562.5 #51 5:51PM
Padded envelopes are a great thing for sending pins! They cost a little more (unless you buy them at the dollar store) but will keep things safe!! - PiecesOf8  373.2 #369 5:56PM
that's where I buy them! - ShariRenee  1562.5 #51 6:27PM
For some reason I never thought to look there but when I was at the Dollar Tree today I saw all the packing/shipping stuff they had and now I'm excited to start sending more packages! - PiecesOf8  373.2 #369 6:46PM
As a side note... Dollar Tree now takes manufacturer coupons. I get a lot of stuff for pennies or free (just pay the tax). - Sugarbuzz  50.5 #3750 7:08PM
Nice tip Sugarbuzz - ShariRenee  1562.5 #51 7:11PM
Saw the coupon sign at the register today. Really great way to save! - PiecesOf8  373.2 #369 7:12PM
Yep, and if really dedicated: take the money saved, and put it into a disney fund. I like couponing. Getting better every day. CVS and Rite Aide are other good places too. - Sugarbuzz  50.5 #3750 7:16PM
We really should start couponing. Especially with how often we've been going to the parks. - PiecesOf8  373.2 #369 8:01PM
Note to self: start couponing & go to Dollar Tree. Thanks for the tip :) - MissAmericaSings  280.1 #735 8:18PM
