I have a question regarding annual passes and don't know where to post it. I am hoping some of you awesome MouseWaiters can help answer it.
.
My Wife and I are taking our 2 year old to Disneyland over Christmas for five days.
.
I had heard that you can use your Park Tickets if they have not expired as credit towards an annual pass. Is this true, and if so can you make that exchange on the last day of a park hopper for the full value of the park hopper towards the annual pass? I also heard that the first day you get your annual passport the blockout days don't apply.
.
The five day park hopper is only $30 less than the Southern California Annual Passport. I'd like to on the morning of our last day go to member services and pay the extra 30 to upgrade to a passport for my wife and I.
.
Can we do this?
I am hoping this post is OK and doesn't break any rules. If it does please just remove it, if it doesn't, I am anxious to get an answer. - AdamCumming

Yes can trade in 5day on last day for full value? Yes blockout day doesn't apply that day? Yes to all? - AdamCumming 114.3 #2830 8:38PM
Yes to all I believe - PinkElephants 636.8 #170 8:39PM
Yes to all. What you paid for your hoppers will be applied towards your AP's on the last day they are valid and you can get in if its a block out day. - Linzee 519.0 #225 9:00PM
The answer is, flapdoodle. And yes to all. - DisneyFanZoe

Yes you can turn in your park tickets and use $ towards pass. It doesn't matter what day but your pass will he dates the first day your ticket was stamped. - brodysmommy

Thanks to all who replied. My wife followed up with member services who confirmed we can do this up to one hour before the park closes on the last day of the pass. They did say the annual pass had to be of greater value than the park hoppers. $30 to upgrade to annual pass... can't beat that. Looks like goofymamma and I will be annual passholders for the first time. That leads to another question. My disney visa gets 10% discount. The annual pass gets 10% discount. Is it one or the other or are they cumulative? Thinking of World of Disney and Pin Traders. - AdamCumming
