Solana (S.D.) has great Mex. food. Rest. is 50 years old & old house. We had nachos Mex. style (they call it bean dip)with beans on bottom/fresh chips on top/cheese and most importantly the most incredible chorizo! Diablo hot sauce amazing. Sorry Piratelife4me, I fell asleep and didn't see your question until now. The Mission Inn decorates with tons of lights and figurines, they have horse carriage rides but you mainly just walk around. If it's not too busy, you can walk around the inside of the hotel, which is decorated as well. It's very festive and it's free. Most parking is free but, if it's crowded, parking is hard to find. I am hearing good things about this car. @HMACIF, the Escape is a five seater, so coming from the Acadia, I am losing space and going down to a smaller engine. 😞Boys are 10 and 7. Since I am the mom who takes the friends, we still have hubby's truck. For day to day driving, we are hoping a smaller car will help with the budget.
