Have a safe drive! You're onto something with that. Those wait times on the amber alerts are usually pretty accurate for me, I also use my iPhone on the maps app to estimate my arrival time, which fluxuates a lot.. Best of luck with the drive and hope u had a great time! - SarahJoshDisney
