As you make your way to Disneyland, during this busy, festive season, you will see stunning- top notch decor, lights glowing, magic around every corner of some sort, characters, and more! Let us not forget that there IS more to Disneyland than the 'rides'. Be patient, bc it truly WILL be a Rock concert with baby strollers. Take it in, people watch, immerse yourself, look for something you may have not ever noticed, and by ALL means--enjoy yorself!!
The strollers is one of my favorite things about being at the parks! As much as I enjoy Disney for myself, now that I'm a mother, I truly find there is nothing better than enjoying the magic and wonder of Disney through the eyes of a child. I love hearing all the squeals of delight, hearing things described by a child's mind, and seeing the pure joy reflected in their eyes!!❤❤❤ - RCmom

This is an excellent reminder! Every trip I take with my girls to the park now I try and notice something I haven't before. The smells, music and decor always fascinate me. Thank you Disneyland for being so magical! 😍 - Duchess_SMK

Great advice, HMACIF! One of my favorite things to do at the DLR is to buy a snack (usually ice cream), find a bench, and watch people relive memories or make new ones as they experience the magic for the first time. :) Sweet post. - susieQzee

I have always reminded my kids that we have annual passes and can come anytime we want. But for some people this may be there one and only trip to Disneyland so be patient and try not together annoyed by people...... And try to smile at everyone even those who aren't so patient or polite.....it just makes for a better experience for all..... My kids are 14 and 17 now and still follow the same guidelines... - TeacherluvsMickey

Our purpose on Tuesday and Wed is to look at decorations and find hidden holiday magic. We ride the occassional ride. The kids stare into trees. - MeridasHair

Thanks for the reminder sweets! I think we'll need every bit of patience this week. Disneyland is more than a bunch of attractions. It's a warm and wonderful feeling. - LaPearleNoir

I absolutely love going into the park and not going on rides. Seems to happen a lot right now where I just wander and enjoy the sights and sounds of the park. I've had some of my best days at Disneyland/DCA when I only go on one or two rides, and they're not even thrill rides! Can't wait to experience it with a child in tow! - IDVandalSkipperCM

PHMACIF PSA is perfect for the holidays!! This is a great reminder! I don't have kids but I have to navigate around the strollers and it can be frustrating at times but I always remember that I'm in the happiest place on earth and its better then being at home! 😄 - CourtyAstroBlisters

Great tips! All I've done for the past week is walk around and sit/gaze at the decorations. It's such a magical time at the resort! - pawneegoddess

I agree! And now that Brody understands what Disneyland is more about after our last trip, I can't wait to see how he is and reacts when we go at Xmas time. He is going to love it and it'll be a precious mommy moment - brodysmommy

It was very moving to see how much my daughter was in awe of the place our first time there. Thank God for annual passes. Atleast once a day she aske to go to "Mickey Mouse House". Thanks for the great reminder - TangledsDad

I must say that one of my favorite things about the parks at the holidays is all the great Christmas music from the Dapper Dans, the mariachis, Bill Hill & The Hillbillies, bell carolers, and the background music. You don't need to wait in line to enjoy these - ScooterMike

Thanks for this! We'll be at the parks possibly Thursday night and definitely Saturday and know very well that we probably won't get on any rides. We're excited just to be able to be there for the holidays! :) - MrsDisneyMommy29

Very well said! When we go and we know its going to be busy we don't stress out and get upset that we can't go on a ton of rides. We find things we don't normally do, we take our time walking and looking at all the details. We people watch. We always have fun no matter the crowds! Our kids find the neatest things on our trips. - Autoalice

I always let each kid pick out 1 ride they had to go on... Then we would pick out one ride or show we hadn't ever been on.... - TeacherluvsMickey 16.4 #5457 10:59PM
We do something like that too. We have 3 kids so they don't always get to each pick something depending on lines. We sort of all agree on one or two things we feel will be worth the long wait then fill in the rest of the time with whatever random thing that isn't packed. - Autoalice 135.0 #2517 11:09PM
That's what sets the Disneyland resorts from other theme parks. It's not about the rides at all. Some people don't get that and get frustrated with the crowds. You want to just go for the rides, there are other parks and other rides. Here at Disney, it's almost a requirement to stop and enjoy your surroundings. 😁 Sorry to vent. - Waites4DodgerEars

So true! I see people running from attraction to attracting without seeing anything in between. They are missing so much! - Autoalice 135.0 #2517 11:11PM
