Hi everyone! Ok, I need some opinions on the following: why do dad's take their 2 year old daughter into the Men's restroom? I have seen this time and time again. Disneyland provides family restrooms. It's very uncomfortable when your doing your business then a little girl just walks right in looking around. Sorry, but what are your thoughts? Thanks....

Spoken like someone who doesn't have kids... Trust me these Dad's do not want to be taking their daughters into the mens bathroom as much as you dont want them to...Look, when a child under the age of 12 has to pee it's usually an emergency. If a dude is there with his younger daughter there is no time to sit your squirming daughter down and say, well let's keep a level head about this and find the nearest family restroom... It doesn't work like that. When you were a kid I'm sure there were plenty of times you went in the women's restroom with your mom. This is the same thing just on opposite day... Perfectly normal get over it. πŸš½πŸ‘¨πŸ‘§ - BambooMike  133.8 #2984 2:36AM

You are probably going to hate me because I am a dad and I have a 2 and 4 year old daughter and sometimes I take both of them into the restroom. Do you think I do it to make you feel uncomfortable. I do it out of necessity. Family restrooms are only in some parts of the park and there are only a few in each area. When my daughter has to go she has to go and that's it so I choose the nearest restroom. I'm sorry it makes you uncomfortable but I'd rather you be uncomfortable so that my daughter doesn't have an accident. - Sandcar13  1408.2 #122 2:30AM
When kids have to gone hey have to go. I make my 10 yr old son go in the girls room with me. I would rather people think he's too old to be in there than him get stolen standing outside waiting. - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 2:37AM
Bravo sandcar13. I agree mrsblue. I'm a single mom of 8 yr old boys and they still go into the women's restroom with me. I get weird looks or comments sometimes but thier safety is far more important. - supertracy  471.9 #453 9:40AM
You can't expect a dad to go to the women's restroom wih their daughter - E-Ticket  1466.9 #115 2:50AM
πŸ˜‚ So true! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 8:49AM
I don't see the big deal with a father taking his daughter to the men's restroom. I think it great! Why does the mother always have to take care of potty breaks. And what's a single dad to do? I don't think men are in the restroom showing off there junk, men get in and get out when it comes to a bathroom break. - dumbbunny  627.2 #324 4:23AM
Why do some people ask idiotic questions? Cuz when you gotta go you gotta go and if it makes you that uncomfortable the you should prbly look inside yourself. - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 2:02AM

Awwwww that's cute. Someone gets 'performance anxiety'.... I'm a single dad and they don't have enough 'family' restrooms. Deal with it yo. - Jaimz  651.4 #309 11:01AM

I have no problem with it whatsoever! Unless your someone who stands 3 feet back from the urinal for whatever reason than there's nothing a child is is going to see anyway. - donnievegas  1132.7 #161 2:15AM
3 feet that's a πŸ™‰πŸ† - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 2:26AM

Thank you Donnie, I cant stop laughing. - Plumiegirl  10135.3 #8 11:42AM
Lol, my hubby highly dislikes taking our little girls in the men's restroom unfortunately when they have to go they have to go and finding a family restroom or waiting in line is something you just don't want to chance. This weekend he took our 2 yo on his own and had this very problem and tried use it to teach her not to stare at people or talk about them while in the restroom.....very difficult for an observant 2 yo! - akpoppins  263.8 #1224 8:15AM
I'll bet I made some people uncomfortable when I accidentally walked into the men's room instead of the ladies my last trip. Men were jumping around all over the place. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Missshelly  698.3 #278 8:43AM
πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚ I did that once! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 8:45AM
I chased my son into a restroom before, wasn't until the way out I noticed the urinals, thank goodness it was an empty restroom! - GarnerPhotography  324.9 #776 8:52AM
Your profile pic and you posting that you're in the men's room confuzled me. πŸ˜‚ - SueBayou  2019.0 #78 11:03AM
I've got to say its uncomfortable for me too. I like to stand at the urinal with my pants around my ankles. 😜 - Tom  11116.2 #6 11:23AM

Wait?!? You're supposed to STAND at a urinal??? - Jaimz  651.4 #309 11:50AM
My husband was a single father before we got married and I asked how he handled this. Basically it's a matter of need. The family restroom isn't always accessible and when a 2 yr old needs to go they need to go. I would say the best option would be to go to family rr when possible but if not an option the kids are truly too young to know any better and at that age I would rather they ask questions than risk the littles ones health. - QueenBella  175.0 #2317 1:53AM

mrsblue. It's not an idiotic question. I'm not going to start an argument because I know what you are trying to do. If you don't have something nice to say I suggest you build a bridge and get over it. Thank you HiddenMinnie and QueenBella_CM for your input. - JLAC  214.4 #1812 2:13AM
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ it's a lame question! Use common sense they take them in the bathroom cuz they have to pee πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦ or possibly πŸ’©. And with little kids as everyone knows there isn't time to go find a different bathroom so silly people won't be uncomfortable. Urinals show nothing and if ur that freaked out about the possibility go in a stall. - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 2:25AM
The only person who has something to get over here is you JLAC. Don't like people taking their kids to the potty...then I suggest you be the one who stops going in there. I haven't seen a post this unnecessary for quite some time. Next time you should think about it before you ask. It's obvious you do not have children and perhaps that's for the best. - Krissy Marissy  411.2 #541 7:14AM
Lol you must be unfamiliar with the most wise and ever powerful mrsblue! - akpoppins  263.8 #1224 9:36AM
I have the opposite, I'm a mom who's hubby can't always go with us because of his work schedule. I have 3 girls and a 6 yr old son. I take my son into the women's restroom all the time. I try to use family restrooms at the park, store, mall or wherever we happen to be, doesn't always work out that way. - GarnerPhotography  324.9 #776 6:46AM
We've had some interesting conversations in here lately... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - LBChica  2437.4 #59 8:19AM
πŸ˜‚ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 8:44AM
Right?!? I'm tellin you there has been a trend lately - KissDclown  1089.1 #167 8:46AM
πŸ‘†Yup. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 8:59AM
IMHO- the men's restrooms are pretty dirty and disgusting- esp the one between star tours and the plaza inn. so gross to have your daughters in there, would rather have my wife take them to womens...but if you gotta go, you gotta go. - ElSuperRaton  4469.4 #31 8:46AM
Please let City Hall know this. - misschurro  6362.4 #17 9:31AM
I hear ya mrmom. There's times I wish I had a hazmat suit and a power washer. - mightymike  272.8 #1141 11:13AM
I learned something here. I didn't know there were family restrooms - Tom  11116.2 #6 11:01AM
Right? And where were these when we were kids? We already established a dad wouldn't go into the Ladies Room. You can bet he's not going to send her in alone - cesium55  531.8 #390 11:16AM
Wait.... what kind of business are ya doin? - madsdad  1868.2 #92 11:07AM
