Good morning, MWers! I need your help! My cousin, Laura, grew up with me going to DL with our grandparents. She is SUCH a fantastic person and has recently quit her job to go back to school full-time to pursue her dream of becoming a studio singer (last night she sang on Oz the Great and Powerful!! So she's on her way!!) However, at the moment she's flat broke and helps my mom out with her bookkeeping for extra money. She loves Disney as much as I do and we've had the chance to go only once together as adults--I was happy to buy her a ticket. Anyway, I really want to surprise her tonight by buying her an AP!! Her birthday is Dec 2nd. She's driving down today from school to visit us and has no idea that I'm gonna do this. I'd love some suggestions for how to go about surprising her...any CM's (or anyone!) have any good stories or thoughts?? Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!!
Wow, what an awesome family member/friend you are! I could always pop out of the bushes wearing my banana costume and make up a song and dance then had her the pass then run off into the sunset - Dave

Ok, guys I have an update! Laura is here in the next room...I bought her pass online and am gonna wrap it up like a present for her birthday. The plan is that I'll ask her to come to dinner somewhere in DTD, ya know for the "atmosphere" and some made up story about a scarf I left there yesterday. Then I'll have her open her present and try to film it for you guys! And of course, we'll then come marching right in to DL or DCA :) Everyone who wants to, come say hi to the newest AP member! I'll update on the timing...Hopefully we can go to the Cove bar. She's never been there either. Thanks everyone for your suggestions!! - MissMolly

I surprised a good friend a few years ago by making him wear a blindfold and headphones with his favorite music playing. We picked him up at Cal State Fullerton, then put both on immediately. We took both off when he was right between the two parks and facing the Disneyland entrance. That worked really well! He loved it and had a lot of fun. Yeah, i was wondering if I could call and order it and have it waiting with a specific CM at the booths or something...then maybe pretend like I was gonna get her a day pass and then the CM could say that there's been a mistake or something, etc etc. Just can't quite figure it out! - MissMolly 692.8 #143 10:39AM

Do any CM's know if there's a way to have the pass ready for me at DL? Like they could hand it to her instead of a 1 day admission and it would already have her name printed on it? If not, I'll totally go the banana route :) - MissMolly

Why don't you print out a "fake" AP and write something on it like "Good for One AP" instead of her name or write it on the back. Then turn it in like a coupon to get the actually AP. It's a way to show her what's going on and give her something. - Lkphair 166.3 #2066 11:36AM
