Sorry for such a long post, but I just had to share this story with you guys. Tonight easily became one of my favorite nights of work so far. I arrived at Magic Kingdom not knowing exactly what I would be doing aside from the normal Parade Audience Control stuff (ex. Move It Shake It Celebrate It!, Electrical Parade, Wishes), but I did know one thing for sure: I was going to have a blast. We had our meeting backstage to receive parade and fireworks positions, and I thought for sure I would be doing Hub or Town Square set up, but sure enough, I got parade escort. Once 7pm arrived and the announcement came on, I got chills. Then, just as the announcement was finished and the music had begun, it was time. The parade captain gave the signal and we opened the parade gates on Main Street. That was truly one of the best feelings in the world, but that wasn't the end. I then had the task of escorting the Main Street Electrical Parade all the way down the parade route! Now that, my friends, was truly magical.
