Veteran's Day is Monday, and a number of restaurants are recognizing it both Sunday and/or Monday. Here is a link for the restaurants offering free meals, appetizers, etc to veterans, and active military. It might help ease the cost of meals to a few people in the parks. I am not sure of the restaurants in the list, and the proximity to DL.

Applebee's will be packed again!!! Last year, my co-workers waited for 2hrs to be seated :) ... Golden corral is advertised but the closest one in San Diego is at El Centro.... But again, HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO ALL WHO HAVE SERVED - otilegna

We had no problems when we went, and getting seated in SLO. Maybe not a lot of veterans or active. We went out for both meals - lunch and dinner. It was nice to have a treat. - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3867 9:09PM
