Went to club 33 this weekend, it was phenomenal. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was the best I've seen. The character of the place is incredible. You can tell how old the restaurant is, but it's not run down. Even the bathrooms are really old school. For example, obviously people were much smaller 50 years ago than they are today, the bathroom stalls and hallways reflect that era. I think that's really cool. Walt's restaurant is essentially still intact. I took a pic if this bird in one if the 2 dining rooms. Walt had this bird put in b/c he originally wanted to listen in to people's conversations and talk back to them. That bird was like a tiki room bird of some sort, and Walt thought it would be fun to repeat what people were talking about during a meal. That's what I was told by our server. I'll post a couple other pics. Please enjoy.
Wow that would have shelved that idea if ever repeated one of my dinner conversations. - madsdad

I read somewhere else (I think another MWer post) that there was also a mic in the chandelier for the same purpose. - mousejedi

Our server told us that the hidden mics were also so that the staff could hear if guests needed something, like another drink. - Vegan7LuvsStitch
