:::First timer review of Earl of Sandwich::: While the line was long last night (around the front of the building) it moved surprisingly fast! Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately they were sold out of many of the sandwiches (including The Holiday), so we ended up trying The Full Montagu, Tuna Melt and the Cannonballs!, Chinese Chicken Salad, side of macaroni salad, bag of Salt and Vinegar chips, a chocolate chip cookie, and a brownie. Even though it was busy, our wait for the food and a table was minimal. As far as the food...the salad was good but not at all impressive for the price and for what it was---it was more like something you could pick up in an airport. The Macaroni salad was in my option, really good, as well as their chips (not too hard, some kettle style chips can really cut up my mouth). The Tuna Melt my husband said was good but was a little bland for his taste. We LOVED the Full Montagu and Cannonballs!!! We loved the bread they use, great flavor and texture. I'd drive up right now for another one! The cookie and brownie were surprisingly good. Nice and moist with great rich flavor and texture! ....In the end, I can't wait to go back and try others like The Holiday! And give the soups and breakfast a try. It is a hot sandwich place, and some seem to be better than others. So if your not sold on one (or a salad), don't give up on the place! Try another, it really is a great place! : )
