Hey all! I had a question. My grandma isn't doing very well and she's always wanted to see the World of Color show since she's seen the commercials so I really want to take her this week. She would only be able to go as early as an hour before the show because she's not in a condition to stay for long. Here's my question, since she's in a wheelchair is there a special reservation I need to make to sit in the Disabled section? Also would we need fast passes for the show? I'm trying to figure out how to make this happen - if it's even possible. Thank you!

MWers are always willing to help. I bet if you posted what day you wanted to go, someone would get WOC fast passes for you or help you out in other ways. - IDVandalSkipperCM  1296.5 #63 7:57PM
I was just about to say this--if someone else can get you FPs, then you don't need to bring her in the morning. We took my husband's Grammy last year, as it was truly a special experience: one that none of us will forget :) It might take some creative thought, but I'm sure it's possible :) If all else fails, perhaps try calling Guest Services and see if they have any suggestions - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.2 #285 8:00PM
Thanks so much for being so helpful, yeah I'll definitely have to get creative but it'll be worth it(: - Beckerina  163.9 #2103 10:31PM
You have to get in line in the morning or whenever for the show you want and have your tickets with you to get the fastpass, then later they will put you in the wheelchair viewing area. So grandma would have to come in that morning to scan her ticket so you can get the fastpasses. the only way I know of around this is to buy a reservation through one of the dining options, go on disneyland.com and look at dining, or world of color and special dining options. Then you would only have to show up for either picking up the box lunch or at the restaurant you picked. - secretagentangel  669.6 #154 7:12PM
Ah doesn't look like I'll be able to do it then, thanks for the info! - Beckerina  163.9 #2103 7:53PM
yes, don't give up, depending on the day, there are always a lot of mw's around, we can get the fp's, if you know when you want to go, you could probably pre-arrange something. - secretagentangel  669.6 #154 8:25PM
There is a wheelchair section but you will get wet in that area so dress or prepare accordingly. I would be willing to bet a nice MW would be more than happy to snag you some fps but I can't guarantee it 100%. Also, call guest relations and they may have a way to help you that doesn't require grandma to be there early in the day. - aidensmama  336.5 #445 7:59PM

If it's next weekend the 10-12 I could get you tickets I will have five people with me! I can get them in the am and meet you somewhere before it starts! - CourtyAstroBlisters  440.2 #282 8:01PM

Thanks so much for willing to help out guys! I wanted to take her on a weekday when it's a tad slower, either this Thursday or next Monday - Beckerina  163.9 #2103 10:20PM
