Thank you to everyone who sent Jack well wishes. Everything is going good and everything went great. He is home now and asleep probably for a while from all the medication. if anyone is wondering, he had surgery in his eyes to correct his muscles on the eyes. but hes a trooper and he handled it better than me. Poor guy it was the saddest thing I have ever seen. the nurse came and gave him some medicine to make him drowsy then after ten minutes she came back and asked Jackson if he wanted a balloon.Jackson was holding his Lightning Mcqueen but he couldn't take it so then he said "yes" to the balloon. So she picked him up and he went willingly and took him away. I cried as he was being taken and it was really heartbreaking seeing him being carried away not knowing what he is in for. Just wondering why he is being taken away and possibly being scared. Wondering if he will get the balloon or not. After the surgery the nurse came out and said that she really did give him a balloon and as soon as he grabbed it she put him down and he fell asleep from the sedatives. Im glad he fell asleep smiley and happy how he always is. I can't wait to take him back to the parks when he is better. ;)
Such a brave kid!! I'm so happy to hear the surgery went well! May he have a speedy recovery! - SleepyTortuga

My son had the same surgery a few months ago (he had a lazy eye that trailed outwards). It was scary to give my child to the doctors knowing they were going to operate on his eye muscles. I totally understand and am glad your son is doing good. We just went to the eye doctor on Wednesday and his eyes are now 20/20 and he no longer needs his glasses. The first few days are a little rough, but he'll be back to his old self very soon...give lots of hugs!!! - goofymom2boys

Thank you so much for the update on Jackson! This morning I saw, and responded to your post on the genie post. I have been praying, and thinking about you guys all day. I just got home, and plugged my phone into the charger to see if you left any updates. I am so glad he is well and home! I cried when I read your post because it reminded me of when my son had his second surgery. They look so vulnerable when they get sedated pre-surgery. They wheeled him away in a wagon with a little toy dog. He just went. I still cry when I think of it. So I really could relate. They are our babies. He is precious, poor little guy. I am looking forward to seeing more dapper pictures of him! What a blessing that it is over! Thank God for modern technology! - 7mouskedoodles

Awe. Prayers for a healthy and speedy recovery. There's nothing scarier than being wheeled out to surgery as a kid without something comforting you. I remember being wheeled out to mine when I was little and I was terrified! The last thing I remember was counting backwards and bubble gum scented sleeping gas, lol. That's awesome he was able to hold onto the balloon before he fell asleep! (: - Jacqueline
