Hey everyone I've been MIA as of late and just been lurkin' haha. Anyway, I really want to take my niece to Disney! She's almost a year and I was wondering how young (or old) were your kids when you first took them to Disney? She's already obsessed with Minny Mouse haha!
We waited a while...until our son was 9. I wanted him to be able to remember everything, go on all of the rides and really be able to appreciate the magic of DL, and of course, the money we spent to enjoy a wonderful 4 days in the parks. Lol! ξ Hope she enjoys her 1st visit! - iHeartDisney84

1.5 years and 2 months. Had wonderful visits both times. I hope you enjoy her first visit too (in a whisper voice....the kiddie leashes helped us out a lot) - PrincessDuckie

*whispering* We used one for my oldest when she was a toddler, but for keeping her in the stroller - she was a climber and wouldn't stay in without an extra harness. - jmgphx 323.0 #524 12:16PM

My daughter was 17 months, and my son was 3, my older 2 were 8 and 10. We have ap's now, for almost a month, and my daughter didn't realize until she saw Mickey where we were again, the next time, she realized on the tram, now she knows as soon as we are in the parking garage. - GarnerPhotography

My son was about 3 months on his first visit. I know a lot of people say what's the point when they're that young but I think it's worth it for the memories you'll make and the pictures you'll take for them to look at one day and know you we're sharing the Disney magic with them! - DisneyLuvinMama

Yah I totally agree, I love looking at old family albums where I was like 6 or 7 on my first trip :) - wrecklexx 7.6 #7981 8:48PM
2 years only because I didn't have the money to take him when he was 1. - Lelundrial

My girls went at 2-3 months old their first visits. We love having pictures of them growing up in the parks. We got pictures of my youngest when she was a baby and again when she was two with the exact same Ariel CM. They like being able to say that they rode attractions that aren't there anymore, even if they don't remember it. - MamaRoo

It's way different with kids but still fun. I took my son when he was about 6 months. Even at that age they enjoy Disneyland. Especially small world and the parades. - Philliprocks

We took our daughter for the first time when she was 1.5 years old. She is now 10 and still remembers that trip. It was when she first met Aurora ..her favorite princess. - tinkfan88

I don't have any kids (that I know of, or acknowledge).. but we took my nephew when he was 4 months old.. we went on POTC, IASW, and a couple classics - we can't stay too long (maybe a few hours) because it can get difficult. - LaTruce

We first took our son when he was 11 months and he had a great time (he didn't have any meltdowns anyway :)). I took advantage of the mother/baby center on Main Street, I love it there! Our son will be two next month and he's always wonderful at Disneyland (surprisingly lol). The only problem is, he refuses to sit in a highchair at restaurants and I refuse to let him scream it out in public, I guess I just pick my battles *sigh*. - kss4tink

I took my daughter for the 1st time when she was 3 months. Now she is 3, we both have AP's and have stayed at the grand and dlh. She is my excuse for spoiling both of us!! - Twitterpated

Just take her, tell people it's for her, but we all know it's really for you to have fun. I always tell people it doesn't matter if kids will remember as long as you take pics of them having fun so they know later how much you cared. - madsdad
