Looking for some MW Family love hopefully a little bit of Disney magic for my daughter's birthday trip. Let's just say that so far we're creating lasting memories, but not the happiest ones. Monday was my daughters 9th birthday. Her big day was planned to hang out in DCA, doing all her fave rides/attractions and finishing up in Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. We got about halfway through the day when my wife got tripped and took a faceplant outside of TLM. The CM's and Disney nurse helped out quickly because of her bloody nose. After a long wheel chair ride to the front gate, we got to see the lesser known area in the parks- the First Aid Station! Wife was so ashamed for causing such a scene and my daughter was worried about what happened to mommy's beautiful face. Disney doctors said the cut was too deep on the bridge of her nose- it would need stitches from a hospital. Her knee started swelling up also. So off to Urgent Care we go. Several hours later, we were fortunate to not need stitches but instead have her cut "glued" shut and x-rays showed no broken bones, just lots of deep tissue bruises. By now the parks were closing and we missed our dinner reservation (but was able to reschedule for later in the week). Wife is really feeling guilty and depressed now for ruining the birthday plans. And walking in the parks for 4 more days will be a true test of her endurance and strength. My daughter is showing a brave face for the whole situation, but you can see the despair and frustration. Today we'll be walking/limping at DL wearing orange pumpkin face t-shirts. Our daughter has an appt at Bibidee Bobidee (sp?) Boutique this afternoon to get ready for MHP tonight dressed as Rapunzel. Later Mom and I will change into our costume Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts and wigs. If anybody happens to see us in park, please give some words of encouragement to us. The family morale could use a little boost. Thank!
Hope she recovers quickly. And tell her not to over do it. There is no shame in a wheelchair. Just front of the line access! - Katrayher

I hope things go well today...How about a wheel chair for your wife? That way her knee can rest? Hope things get better and I know DL will brighten up your day no matter what happens. Make new memories to forget the bad. - PrinceTeaJack

I'm very far away from DL, but I just want to say Happy Birthday to your princess. Like all the others said here maybe a wheel chair rental would be a better option for your wife since there is lots of walking in the park. No matter what, I hope your family fun in the park, and wishing your wife a speedy recovery. - RapunzalK

Chin up, I know you feel bad, but if you *and* your wife feel bad your daughter will also. Try to put it behind you, focus on your daughter, take lots of pictures, rent your wife a wheelchair or scooter and enjoy the heck out of your remaining days!! Now please go ride Maters JJ, we always laugh so hard on that ride, hope you can too!! - Linzee

So sorry your wife took a spill! Nothing to feel guilty about tho. I'm sure your daughter is more
Concerned that mommy is okay! I would definitely rent a wheelchair for her. At least for today, until she knows if she is up to more walking. Wishing you the best! Bibbidi bobbidi boutique should put a smile back on all your faces! I hope your wife is feeling better soon and has plenty of pain killers to take as needed. - meridafan

I really hope she gets better soon. But I agree with the wheel chair. You guys will have to take it a little slow throughout the day, but Disneyland at a slow pace is kind of nice too. Enjoy your stay and take advantage of the wheelchair front of the line access. - Philliprocks

I hope your wife feels better soon but I think a wheelchair is a must. There is no point in being in pain from having to walk on the leg. I hope you guys rent one and have a great time. - aidensmama

Look into renting a esv from the park or try decker medical in Anaheim. They deliver to the hotels. When we stay multiple days my dad rents one from them. That way he can ride it all the way back to the hotel and not have to leave it at the park. - BakoDisneyDude
