Oh. My. Goodness. I am going to Disneyland Paris the beginning of next year. I am so dang excited!!! Has anyone had the pleasure of going and if so, any tips and advise? I have never been out of the country before.
I have...have fun! I brought top ramen in my suit case, I am a picky eater! HAHAHAHA - Minnis2Society

True Story! I am not as bad as I used to be, I was 17. I went all over Europe...me and my top ramen! When your a teenager you can eat top ramen dry or cooked! LMAO - Minnis2Society 360.0 #388 4:12PM
I still eat Top Ramen raw... And I'm a chef... Lol - cynDOLEwhip 744.1 #137 4:13PM
I do every once is a while, but it was awesome when I was a teenager. There is just nothing like good ol' Top Ramen! - Minnis2Society 360.0 #388 4:17PM
I went to Europe when I was 17, too--I was dying for a turkey sandwich the whole time, lol 😂 - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 5:19PM
Ya, when your 17 you kinda need your own food sometimes! I remember reading menus and thinking WTH?? Glad I have top ramen! LoL - Minnis2Society 360.0 #388 9:07PM
The two times I went overseas I took a jar of peanut butter. Best decision I've made! - LilSterner 2656.0 #17 9:12PM
I had my first taste of goat cheese, and I was totally disgusted, lol 😂 But now I love it! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 9:23PM
and churro thought I was nuts! HAHAHAHA - Minnis2Society 360.0 #388 9:24PM
True story: When my parents met me at the airport, the first thing I said was "can we stop at Subway?" 😂 I did miss the French bakeries and the Italian pasta and gelato, though! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 9:28PM
The bread in Paris is the BEST!!! and it is still my most favorite place to be! and they happen to have Disney! - Minnis2Society 360.0 #388 9:30PM
I packed Mac and cheese when I went to London, but that's because I was staying in a flat and didnt know how long it would take to find the markets and stuff. 😁 - bluefairy 627.0 #174 2:10AM
I went in 2000. When I was there the park is set up the same as DL but the rides were very different. Be prepared for odor unfortunately. I can still remember walking into stores on Main St, seeing nobody else in the store, and being able to still smell BO. Just be prepared for that. - LilSterner

Really good advice! It's something people don't usually tell you when you go abroad, but it catches you off-guard when you first experience it! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 9:45PM
SOS I was completely thrown off guard. Especially when standing in lines and it was a crowded hallway. There was no escape. I wish I had taken good smelling lotion or something to out under my nose to help out. - LilSterner 2656.0 #17 10:08PM
Omg that's so gross, and good to know. - maxinerenton 415.1 #310 7:45AM
LOL!! This is good information. Bath and body spray...check! - DisneyBride°O° 366.5 #379 12:30PM
I am currently working with one of the teams out there. Trying to convince management that I need to meet them in person. 😝😝 - Experiment818

I went about 5 years ago I think, they were just building tower of terror and getting their cars area ready for opening. Their rides are a little different from ours so try to go on as many as possible!! Have lots of fun! - SpringLove
196.4 #1675 1:46PM
That's my plan. Glad there are some differences. - DisneyBride°O° 366.5 #379 1:48PM

Do the have maps and menus in English? The language barrier makes me a little nervous. - DisneyBride°O°
366.5 #379 1:58PM
Menus yes, I remember that from the Blue Bayou there but I am not sure about the maps. We had a of a bit of a issue there and decided to leave early. I wish now that we had stayed. - tiggertwin 317.8 #526 2:07PM
Oh yes, I remember everything basically was in English first and then French! - AvidDisneyThrifter220 842.2 #108 3:50PM

OOh that is awesome, I am so jealous. I would say to make sure to check our their castle, as they have a dungeon with a dragon that I've heard is amazing. The other standout attraction I've heard is a must do is Crush's Coaster. I believe it's in their studios park. - Sarafina
398.5 #335 2:54PM
They have the Indiana Jones mine car coaster that I so desperately want to go...yes add me to the list I'm jealous too. - GoofyMomma

I went in 08! It is so beautiful there! Just have fun and make sure you get the full experience! Space mountain has loops and it really hurts your head so be careful, Indy is a rollercoaster with one loop, pirates takes a picture, and thunder mt is soooo much better there in my opinion. It goes a lot faster and it goes under water at one point :)) a fun game we played to pass time was counting the boys with mullets :P enjoy your trip!!! - AvidDisneyThrifter220

It sounds amazing! Can't wait to hear all about it and see your pix! I am guessing you will have a wonderful time! - meridafan
1034.5 #83 3:59PM
I've been....Its fun, make sure you stay on property as it in the outskirts and nowhere near Paris...I would spend a max of 3 days there as there is not a lot to do but the 2 parks and it is a bit smaller than out here...Some of the must sees are the Alice in Wonderland Labyrinth, Space mountain UPSIDE DOWN...Indy which has mermaids and a loop, big thunder and the Haunted Manor which is a lot spookier than the Haunted Mansion..I have not been to the studios yet so cant help you there - Dave

We really loved the turtle crush ride. Also we splurged and ate at l'auberge de cendrillon. Best French food, but the characters all gave us weird looks since we had no kids :) park has short hours. - mouselaw1076

Really COLD there. We went in late December and froze wore every piece of clothing we had. It was mid 20's and breezy. Do like the Scandinavians and wear full length down coats They were toasty and we shivered - altheariley

I went to Paris this year in January, it wasn't too cold. Just take warm boots and cover your head and hands. :) - Bolt22

People smoke in line. I loved going though!!! :) you can't get from one land to another if I remember correctly. - booboo23kitty
268.4 #839 7:44AM
and in Europe No Smoking 🚫🚬just mean a lil less smoke - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1788.8 #42 8:47AM
Isn't it weird that it used to be like that here? People used to smoke in stores, restaurants and even on airplanes. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 9:18AM
airplanes..the worst. Smoking section was at the back. As if the whole cabin could not smell it - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1788.8 #42 9:51AM
Smoking in line? That's disgusting and so disrespectful to other guests. bleck. - tuesday737 1076.5 #78 10:05AM
The smoking I could deal with even though its one of my pet peeves I understood it was a cultural thing, where I drew the line was the woman holding her child over the sink telling her to pee. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer! - tiggertwin 317.8 #526 8:35AM
It's such a great place! You have to get a Croque Monsieur. Not sure which restaurants have them (I haven't been in 5 years), but they are delicious! I still dream about them. - Princess_Pirate
7.5 #7873 9:07AM
I will have to look into this for sure! - DisneyBride°O° 366.5 #379 9:48AM
I have been! I went in december right before christmas, and it was beautiful. But beware, it's freezing there in winter time! The averages every day were 15-20 degrees, so go prepared. And all the outdoor water rides like it's a small world freeze over because it is so cold! It is smaller than Disneyland, so you could cover the park in 2-3 days in no rush. - noelleybelly
172.3 #1971 10:04AM
Do you think 2-3 days for both parks? - DisneyBride°O°
