Hello everyone! I'm new to MW. Love everything about it. I need some opinions. My wife and I just had our first baby. we renewed our passes so we could get out of the house and have a place to take the boy and not have to worry about him crying and bugging people, can just blend into the crowd and noises. Being that he is so young( 1 month old) should this first trip count as his first time at Disneyland? Can I still educate him on Disney stuff, let a couple of years go by and take him again when we can fully enjoy the magic and count that as his first time? What is the rule on first official visits? I wanna do this right
Welcome to MW. Congrats on your new addition the your family. I think that this trip should count as his first vist to DL. Should take as many photos of your son in the parks and create at scrap book so when he's older he can see what his first trip to DL was like. - Bambi.

I agree with Bambi. My kids first trips were at 3,8 and 10 to WDW, and I didn't get the button for them. First trips to DL was at 1,5,10 and 12, and got them the button this time :) And the toy room was is a scrapbook as well as 2 huge frames in my room, and in the living room. - GarnerPhotography

I think it should count. Make it extra special by stopping at City Hall to get the baby his "first visit" pin. Take lots of pics to show him when he gets older!! Have fun and congrats! - JoannaPandaMouse

We counted my daughter's first trip at 17 days as her first visit :) Every trip for the last 3+ years has been special in so many ways. Our last trip she was tall enough for Space Mountain and wanted to brave it. There will be so many "firsts" so call it what it is..his first time there. Enjoy! And congrats on your new baby! - Autoalice

I think he will love seeing pics if himself as a tiny baby in the park when he's older :) Also, I agree with somebody said about how they can see changes in the park too! I have old pics of me as a small child at Disney and I mostly like to look at it and see how different the parks are today! Whatever you do, I think it's so sweet you are putting so much thought into this and want to make your baby's first visit special! :) - SarahJoshDisney
