He couldn't get time off work so my Mom was with me but when I woke up he was there. It was on St Patrick day so I wore a sequined green top hat and glitter shamrock glasses. The nurses kept coming in to see how silly I looked and all the giggling passed the time and calmed my nerves. Sounds silly but it worked! Maybe you could wear some Mouse ears? In August my boyfriend had surgery for an umbilical hernia. We had just returned from our visit to California and Disneyland when he was feeling discomfort. He had the surgery a week after he was diagnosed. His doctor said it was up to him when he wanted it. After surgery he was fine( the pain medication helped). The Doctor told him not to lift anything over 5 lbs which meant he was off from work for a month and a half ( he is a forklift operator). He said that the pain wasn't as bad as he had thought it would be. I think I was more worried about him than he was.
