Something very interesting happened today with mother at the main gates that I have never experienced...So I guess her pass was blocked out today but she did not look online and or ask me. She got her pass last year for Christmas and went once on Xmas eve but that was it...Well the strange thing is that we did not find out she was blcoked out until hours later after spending the afternoon in DCA and going over to Disneyland the CM stopped her and said it was blocked out. We were super confused as she got in with no issues earlier so the CM took the pass and went to go look something up...In the meantme I pulled up MW and confirmed that it was blacked out...The CM came back and said that the CM at DCA swiped it three times then after it did not work she put in a code to bypass it and just get her in which she is not supposed to do...I'm guessing she just did not want to deal with it so let my mom in but did not say anything...the CM at Disneyland was very nice and let my mom into Dland even though her pass was blacked out it looked like somebody at DCA would be getting in trouble...
You might want to write a thank you letter for the CM that let your mom in. Whatever the case it was a great gift. - Plumiegirl

they were not supposed to, I think somebody already will be getting written up or fired over this so I would not like to draw even more attention to it - Dave 8639.2 #2 10:38PM
ya maybe you are right, I was thinking it might help save their job but if they did not get permission the computer has it. Glad your mom and you had a great day...so love Radiator springs and DCA. - Plumiegirl 3324.6 #10 11:07PM
Interesting. So how did the rest of the day go? - BaseballMickey_CM

we had a fun, lunch at the cove, went on Racers for her first time which she loved..Took her on Star Tours for the first time and she loved that, then we did a bunch of other rides, shows and met up with MouseWaiters though out the day which she really enjoyed then finished the day with a beer and appetizers at Trader Sams and listed to some great Hawaiian music - Dave 8639.2 #2 10:11PM
Glad you were able to make memories anyways. - Mrs.mouse

yea,I wish she would have just said at DCA she was blacked out..I would have upgraded her - Dave 8639.2 #2 11:30PM
Totally weird. But very cool that she got to celebrate her birthday in the parks! Happy accidents! Hope she had a wonderful day. - Sweet_Irish_Cream

I think I saw something like that happen last weekend. Two girls were crying at the gate to DL and the CM was saying that they could go back to DCA since it was their mistake but they couldn't get in to DL. Maybe it wasn't this, but it makes sense. - LilSterner

to me it seems like the CM working the gate knew and saw the line being so big and just did not want to deal with it so let her in without saying anything thus having to deal with the whole ceiling a supervisor over, etc etc..The CM who looked up her pass was not looking up to see if she was or was not blacked out as she knew but was figuring out why and who was the one who let her in....looked like they wanted to fry a CM but just let my mom in since she was already in DCA earlier - Dave 8639.2 #2 12:00AM
My employees override things all the time to avoid a confrontation with a customer - and yes, they do get written up if I find out. At least the DL CM made a good call and let your Mom in (although he didn't necessarilly have to tell you all the details about the DCA CM). Sounds like a great day - of course I'm biased when it comes to sons and moms in the park! - msdizmaui
