Went to my very first meet-up today! :) There were so many MWers and everyone was very nice and welcoming! I get very shy and quiet around people I don't know, but so many people came up and introduced themselves. I wanna thank TeacherCraig for convincing me to go when I was too nervous to, and also for sharing her 'Winner Winner Chicken Dinner' with me. You are awesome! And also, Happy Birthday Steve! It was very nice meeting everyone and I hope to see you all again. Good night MW!
I am the same way. I would love to do a meet up but am way too shy. When we were there in July there was a meet up right in front of us at POTC and I stood from a distance watching. - Ldgsg

I've only to been to one meet up. I sort of stumbled through the whole.. "hi you don't know me, but I'm a mousewaiter too" introduction. Then I felt like I had nothing else to chat about and my hubby and I ran off to get on another ride. lol.. baby steps. - MrsMears

Hahaha! That was kinda how I was! Like Mimmy said, it's hard because so many MWers already know each other so well. So they were all standing around talking and I just kinda stood there. And I used that same introduction! LOL! I kept saying "You don't know me but...". But everyone was very understanding and once they knew I was a newbie, they tried to come over and chat or introduce me to someone else. I had a good time. I wanted to go get on the rides with them, but I had an early work day today. :/ Hopefully next time you can join in and we can meet also! :D - MariFICENT 144.6 #2417 8:36PM

Glad to I am not the only MWer that's shaky about a first meet up. My hubs and I have passed the porch several times while people were sitting there. We kept asking each other should we?
