Hi all! Just wanted to see how everyone is doing? Took the whole family to the parks last Saturday and was glad I was able to eat right and not gain. Still on my Birthday goal and didn't want to go crazy on this trip. Had breakfast at Flo's - shared fruit platter with my boyfriend and let him eat the muffin. Had a Veggie Burger at Village Hause but gave the fries to my daughter and her friend. My snack was a Tall Skinny Caramel macchiato. My dinner was the chicken skewer meal at the Paradise Grill. Dessert was one piece of the strawberry brownie skewer as my daughter took it over, lol! How do you guys do it when your trying to be good at the parks?
Glad you had fun! I do pretty much the same thing: share plates, drink lower sugar/calorie coffee, and try to avoid the fatty sides! The chicken skewers are so good! I love Bengal BBQ, too because they come a la carte and I don't have to worry about rice, oily veggies and pita bread. - Spoonful_O_Sugar

I still have not tried this place in all the years it's been there but it's on my list! - ElectricMayhemMom 312.3 #548 3:18PM
I always think of you when I pass Bengal BBQ .. Lol - Twinklelashes 144.4 #2380 8:07PM
Lol, I don't know why, but I love Bengal BBQ so much! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.3 #285 8:10PM
You have much better self control than I do! I eat everything in sight when I'm at DL. - PirateQueenBriezy

I dont eat well in the parks. I only get to visit once a year. I want to enjoy my favorites while I can. I don't even try honestly. I'm impressed by those who do. - Mrs.mouse

My hubby and I usually split meals, but I also allow myself a treat while I'm in the park (although we often will share that, too). You have to give yourself a little break occasionally and there is nowhere better to let yourself indulge a bit that in DL. - D55CR

You did better than I did! I started out good - then everything went south when I had pupus and dessert (and a cocktail or two) at Carthay Circle! I've been ever since I got home...time for an attitude adjustment! - msdizmaui

How was Carthay Circle? The photos and drink lists look amazing! I want to try the Tequila Daisy or the Hemingway something-or-other (I'm a huge Hemingway fan, lol). - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.3 #285 5:59AM
Expensive but good! We also read the menu online and were looking forward to the Bloody Marys - my son loved it...me, not so much (gave him mine and got the Pear Martini...YUM). We had 3 appetizers (lobster rolls, asparagus and duck confit sliders) and 2 desserts (trio of mousses and cake pops), + the 3 cocktails. Cost $120 with the tip! - msdizmaui 519.0 #224 3:37PM
Oh wow! Sounds delicious, though! Maybe I can talk hubby into a drink and an appetizer one afternoon (if we ever get our APs back, lol). - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.3 #285 8:49PM
It was definitely different. Only bad thing is that there isn't much seating in the bar, and people start taking up the seats waiting to go upstairs for the WOC dinner. I felt bad for the cocktail servers! There was no where for "paying" customers to sit and have a drink! - msdizmaui 519.0 #224 10:26PM
I saw your post with the pics of the desserts. They looked so good! With that thought I'm off to workout...😊 - ElectricMayhemMom 312.3 #548 8:48AM
