So I have a Disney related but non Disney question... And you guys know a lot. I'm thinking about getting an e-reader. Which one do you have and how much do you like it? And to make it Disney related, headed to Seattle in 19 days, this means Disneyland in 22 days!! Yay!!
I had requested a reader for my bday, after my research I decided on a Kindle Fire. I was gifted an iPad 2 (not the newest one) and downloaded the free Kindle app and couldn't be happier. If size/cost is an issue then the iPad probably wouldn't be a good choice. - Linzee

I have iPod touch so I'm not interested in a iPad. I'm hearing a kindle is the way go. I was thinking kobo but their customer service apparently sucks... - JediTrance 71.1 #3383 5:31PM
I asked the same question when I was purchasing mine. I was told "if you're going to read then get a reader. If going to surf and watch movies, then get an iPad." We got iPads. Like linzee wrote just download the kindle app and you have a reader. I love having the larger screen. Save a few months, and get the one you want, so there are no regrets. That's what we did. - Sugarbuzz

I think is depends on where you like to read as well. We have an iPad, kindle fire and the original kindle. I like to read outside and the original kindle is by far the most comfortable for me for that. The battery lasts forever as well. The fire has decent battery life, the iPad the worst, but then it is doing lots of streaming etc. - wannahockaloogie

It's going to be for work, the train to and from aneheim and while I'm in DL (well, the hotel) so far the kindle is winning. - JediTrance 71.1 #3383 6:38PM
I use my iPad for everything. It's replaced the laptop, computer. I can't imagine ever going back to the "old" ways. Have you gone to Best Buy and played with the different readers and tablets? I made numerous trips, and just used the store ones until I was sure. I'm not an eyes buy person. I really give it thought. If you do the same, no matter what you get you will be happy. Another hint, is to check if your library does e-books. Ours does, and I can "borrow" them just like a regular book. I download to the iPad. A free book. I'm sure the kindles have the same capability. Free is always best. - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3869 7:18PM
Going to best buy, future shop and chapters tomorrow to try them all out. - JediTrance 71.1 #3383 7:35PM
@jeditrance- cool, that is the best way to find out what you want, and what you want it to do. Don't let anybody make you feel rushed to a decision. Personally, I can't live without a forward facing camera. I love to see and speak to the grand baby. One feature, I will never be without. - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3869 7:41PM
I have a kindle touch and absolutely love it! - LisaMouse7531

I have a Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight because I wanted just an e-reader & have ever had any problems with Barnes & Noble customer service. Plus I like that I can go in the store if I have a problem. I can lend books to my friends who also have Nook & they give away a free book every Friday. - VikkiMouse

Nothing wrong with that. I still can't let my books go. - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3869 8:15PM
I love my books! I've tried e-readers and its just not the same for me :) I write notes in the side, I love the smell of my books, and I just love holding them, lol. The only downside is that they're a pain in the you-know-what when we have to move! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 8:27PM
I bought my mom a Nook and I have an iPad. She loves her Nook and it had room for a memory card to add more books if you fill it up. But with the iPad I just downloaded the kindle and the nook app. - Krismiss

Check out the Google Nexus 7. Staples carries them, and a bargain at $200. - robgarbo

I know this post is a few days old but... I decided on a kobo touch w/ wifi. Bought it earlier today and so far I like it. I like I can get gift cards for it instead of a credit card. Now to see how the battery last. Thanks for the input.
Also, 17 days till Seattle, this means 20 days until I walk through those magical gates!! - JediTrance
