For those of you that haven't been to Carthay Circle yet, this is an ice cube sphere. If you order a Manhattan or carthay martini this is what you get. They start with a square ice cube and put it in this thingy and it "presses" it into this sphere. It is soo cool. You can see it at the bar.

I read somewhere(I think it was a catalog selling a sphere maker) that this is the best way to make ice for drinks as the spheres don't melt as fast. Keeps your drink nice and tasty. - secretagentangel
