The weirdest thing happened while riding Alice tonight! My 3 yr old daughter was alone in the front with my husband and I in the back. My 2 boys were in the caterpillar behind us along with a friend we were with. Everything was fine until we got to Golden Afternoon room where some of the Cheshire Cats weren't working right or not lit up. We didn't see the other caterpillar enter the room like you do when it does the U through the room. We go into the next room and I looked at Alice like I always do and I swore it moved!! I did a double take at the same time my husband did. The ride got weird from there, We kept lurching and stopping. My husband and I immediately grab my daughters shoulders in unison. We stop completely as the doors open to go outside on the leaves. I've heard the rumors of the Ghost Timmy in here and without thinking I blurt out "go away" and we immediately start moving and we go down the leaves with no issue. Doors open to the Cheshire Cat and we come to a complete stop. So bad we figure we're about to be evaded or hear something over the com saying the ride stopped. I find myself saying Hi Timmy I see you, let us go on now. The soundtrack finally kicks in after that and the last moments of the ride. We waited for the rest of our group to ask if their car acted up and they said no. We told the CM that it kept lurching and stopping. Was that an encounter with this Timmy Ghost or something else. We weren't looking for him. This is one of our favorite attractions that we always go on late at night. I am always looking at every detail because Alice is my favorite, so much so that one of my daughters middle names is Alice. It was the most odd experience I've ever had!!!

I always talk smack to "Timmy" on this ride. He never does anything. And I say some pretty rotten stuff. For example... Hey, have you seen Carsland? Oh yeah, I forgot... You're dead :) - Slotherini

If he was made up that's fine. But it truly was a very weird ride. Both my husband and I could have sworn that Alice moved. I am extremely skeptical of all of this kind of stuff. Seriously skeptical. But that was weird. - Autoalice

I did have a creepy experience once. In the same spot. "Timmy" is made up, but not sure the space isn't still haunted. lol - Alicewhoareyou

Wouldn't use the word scared. But that was really weird. I always stare at that statue and I've never felt like it moved like that. So I "fell" for the Timmy joke. But it really was a strange occurrence all the same. - Autoalice

That ride (although one of my favorites) has had it's fair share of technical problems. At one point it seemed to always be down when I wanted to ride it - KissDclown

Very true. Every time when we would go during my son's b-day. That ride was guaranteed to break down at least 3 times in one day. - Lelundrial 339.5 #430 10:35AM
My bf has weird vibes around that attraction and refuses to get on. He told me after we rode it one time with my little sisters and that just made me not want to ride it. πand he's a person that has experinced and seen things in his life. π£ - loved26LovesDLand

Also, in tomorrowland around star tours and space mountain he gets a feeling of sadness. - loved26LovesDLand 164.2 #2095 11:11AM
I get a feeling of sadness there too, one because Tomorrowland needs a update and two I just do, atmosphere feels weird to me there - MarshaMouse 2834.6 #15 11:34AM
Thats crazy. Last time we were there he couldve sworn he felt a hand on his back and it even dropped his hat of his head. He was freaked out. And this happened in tomorrowland as well - loved26LovesDLand 164.2 #2095 12:12PM

In the room with all the flowers. When you start going up the hill to where the caterpiller is, look to your right. She's super creepy too. - shadowgamer 1954.3 #37 12:10PM

It is so funny that you posted this, because I was at the park by myself 2 days ago and I decided to get on. I love Alice in Wonderland and normally I love this ride. But that day, something felt funny as I was riding it...kinda like when you have a feeling that something bad is gonna happen. I kept looking over my shoulder the whole ride. The caterpillar was running fine, I kinda wanted the ride to end already cause of that feeling I had, and in that last Chesire Cat room, it suddenly came to a complete stop. It was so dark and I was the only one in there...and I suddenly got that feeling that I wasn't alone it the room. I waited and waited, and I started panicking and considering just slipping out of the lap bar and jumping out of the caterpillar. Thankfully, the ride suddenly started again. It was so weird because I've been on that ride by myself before and I had never felt like that. It seriously freaked me out! So Timmy or no Timmy, I know how you felt. π - MariFICENT

I am going to let it drop now after saying this one last thing. In all honesty I would have considered the whole thing just the ride acting up if it weren't for both my husband and I seeing what looked like that statue moving, turning to follow us as we moved away while standing in place. The first time we lurched was when we both looked back forward after watching the statue. Everything else could easily be explained as the ride messing up except that, and nothing was wrong before that except for the 2 Cheshire Cats not working in the Tulgy Woods. I feel silly posting last night, one reason I waited until we left and was in the car starting to drive home was because I seriously debated if I should say anything knowing that the teasing was sure to start. I know people are giggling because I "fell" for their made up story. But...that statue..I was looking at it and was lingering for a moment as we went by it just a little over my shoulder before looking forward again, which I normally do after learning it was there. That is the first time I've ever sat on the right, next to the statue so I wanted to actually see it close up. As I looked forward I was "Did that just move" to myself, not out loud, and that's when my husband turned himself around in his seat to stare and I looked back because he did and we saw it turn. We didn't talk about what we saw until we were completely off the ride and standing by the stroller so we didn't convince the other type thing. If it werenβt for the statue and the weird feeling we had the rest of the time we would have just reported to the CM when we got off that the car wasnβt working like I did when the speakers didnβt work on a doombuggy one trip and called it a day. I did report the car acting up to the CM but did not mention the statue (I mean really..how do you say that to the CM). - Autoalice

That alice statue is creepy. Being in the blacklight it makes your vision play tricks. Plus you were already weirded out. - ScarfGirl 551.6 #199 2:34PM
I get a funny vibe when on the ride. Timmy was made up but there has to have been something that's happened inside. And yes it stops it an attraction all of them do but for some reason Alice is creepy at night. And I will only ride it in the day! - minniel0verβ’ 204.7 #1556 2:45PM
My husband didn't notice the cats not working in the woods and I didn't say a think to him. He did notice that the car behind us did not come in because he was planning on taking a picture of our other 2 kids in it while we were both in the room at the same time. He is not one to ever get worked up about something like this at all. He did scare me when he turned his whole body around to look back at Alice. If it were just me I would again ignore it as me imagining it. But maybe as part of the ride not working right for us the lighting was off. I am not dismissing that. Alright..I'm done. This isn't going to stop us from going on the attraction again, I can guarentee that :) - Autoalice 135.0 #2517 3:03PM
If your talking about Alice I feel like that everytime I'm in there. I'm pretty sure it's just light effects. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 3:04PM
