Hi everyone. I finally have a day off and time for myself. I was wondering if a lot of people go to DL alone. Is it lonely/awkward while waking through the park or getting on the rides? I'm thinking of going today, but all my friends are at work.
I took my first solo trip this past month and I absolutely loved it! You can go at your own pace and do whatever you want! Be sure to take time and take pictures! - AshleyLynn22

I like going alone because you can do whatever you want to do. There's no fighting on where to eat or what to ride, so it's very relaxing. Use those single rider lines and if you are needing some company, post a meetup! - Sarafina

There is nothing wrong with going alone. You will maybe feel awkward at first but that's normal. No one will think you are strange. It's nice to have time to yourself once in awhile. Just go and have a great time. - aidensmama

Hello. Going to the parks alone it's awkward at all. In fact many fellow MWer go in there own all the time. You may get a chance to do the thing your not able to do when in a group. But the most important thing is that you make the best of it and enjoy your self. If you decide to go I hope you have a great time - Bambi.

Definitely go! It's really no big deal and most people who see you alone, will probably think you are not there alone and that you probably want to ride some rides others didn't want to go on. That being said, when I see someone there by themselves (figuring they didn't break away from their group), I think they look so relaxed and that they are enjoying their alone time. Go and have a great time by yourself! :) - kss4tink

Once you get there you will feel wonderful. I am going alone later tonight after I do many chores too. If you get lonely look for a MW meetup or host one of your own and you will meet up with a MWer or two. - secretagentangel

I go alone constantly since my hubby isn't a fan! I love it! I stay at fav Disney hotels, eat at nice places, ride everything I want when I want! I do it at least once or twice a year! I find it very relaxing, fun, and very enjoyable!! I usually go at slower less crowded times of year. Always talk to people waiting in lines or at parades. Safety first I never tell people I am trveling alone though. Single rider lines are a plus, I highly recommend it! You are able to stop and really take in all the magic! Strike up a conversation with cast members too they tell you so many tips, and info love them! I never feel lonely just lost in the Disney bliss! :) - Redman

Go! Solo trips are great! I love going with my friends or family, but sometimes I look forward to a me day. Do it! It will feel a bit awkward at first, but once you start feeling the Disney magic you will relax and enjoy yourself. - BRabbit

Sometimes I wish I could go solo but I have a 1 yr old And daddy is at work. I do go just me n her sometimes but sometimes I do wish I could go by myself and just get on everything I want! To just buy a candy apple and ride the train, to go on the single rider lines, to make line to take a pic with a character without my hubby saying next time! Or needing to change a dirty diaper lol Enjoy for us that can't go solo :D - annjay07

Just do it, nobody cares. I've done it because I have an annual pass and live so close I can just go on minutes notice. Plus non of my friends have annual passes and it's expensive so its hard to get ppl to go.
Plus, you get to take advantage of single rider. Yeah, it's a weird feeling but it's better than waiting around for people to go with. But today will be crowded because of the whole space shuttle thing. - WreckRalph

Disneyland is my favorite place to go alone while not alone. There are a bunch of people so it's not scary. You're by yourself, and you can think, and do anything you want without having to get approval of the group you're in. Have fun! You notice more details and appreciate YOUR favorite Disney "thing". - LaTruce
