I'm new to MW & was wondering if y'all can help me out w some good tips for food on a budget while in Disneyland & CA. Thanks!
Last time I went I froze some mangoes and grapes, and took in some chips sandwiches and water bottles. We eat before going in the park and the snacks hold us of until dinner time. For dinner I like to get a bread bowl soup when I'm on a budget. I get the bowl separate because I usually can't finish it and that way I can save the leftovers for later without it being a mess in my bag. - jmotajr

Yes, eating before is important, carrying in snacks like beef jerky and trail mix are great snacks lots of filling protein also fiber bars are good to carry. If on a tight budget you can order jus a plain bread bowl for $2 and eat with butter and their free water. And then grab fast food after leaving the park at closing :) - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #3030 6:36PM
Those frozen PB&J Uncrustables (or Crustables?) are pretty good. I take those and the above mentioned, then leave for dinner (Taco Bell party pack 12tacos/$10). I know, I'm a cheap mom. - 559MickeyLover

I don't see anything wrong but I sometimes feel bad that I hardly ever feed the kids in the park. They think we're the only ones that leave. I'd rather spend my $ on otherthings like their APs n pins. - 559MickeyLover 268.4 #858 6:50PM
Lol nono, I'd rather snack in park and buy more inside or be able to come more than eat inside everyday - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #3030 6:57PM
heck no, you are definitely not the only one! and to be honest you can get so much more food for less money outside the parks. - nicoleface 1325.3 #62 7:22PM
There are several inexpensive places to eat directly across Harbor Blvd. Mc Donald's, a Denny's, and a new pizza place as well. It's a five minute walk from the main gate. - ScooterMike

My family enjoys village haus, they have personal pizzas, burgers, and good salads. Something for everyone at good price :) - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #3030 6:56PM
Golden horseshoe is also a good option, plus have a hilarious show while you eat - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #3030 6:58PM
We like to get pasta at the pizza a past place(can't remember name, by goofy sky school) in DCA or get a bread bowl. In DL we share a chicken dinner at plaza inn or go to jolly holiday for sandwiches. The monte cristo is big enough to share too (new Orleans square) - minnieMisty 223.6 #1337 6:58PM
There are a lot of items they sell in the park that are some what reasonable. Bangel BBQ is good and fairly inexpensive. Denny's ect typically you are going to pay $10 per person. I take in flavor packets for water since they offer cups of it for free and as everyone else has said protein snacks. But if you don't want to carry stuff around with you then just go to like Plaza inn and split a chicken meal or order off the kids menu or the Monte Cristo Sandwich and Pomme Fries are very much enough food to split..just a few examples. - yellowtonka

We often do the beef nachos at white water snacks for lunch, enough to split for cheap. And dinner we split the chicken dinner at Plaza and sometimes a salad. Usually our go to cheaper meals:) - Justatoad

My husband and I split a lot of the plates. The chicken dinner at plaza inn is huge, we just order an extra biscuit. We also split the jambalaya at te Blue Bayou, for $12 yet will plate it separately and you each get your own salad and of course the yummy rolls. The serving size on the split is also huge and more than enough. Even quick service meals work to split! Have fun! - LisaMouse7531
