I love Throwback Thursdays, and wanted to post a picture from our trip during the 50th Anniversary in July '05! I think the flowers and decorations were especially pretty that visit! Who else was able to be there for the 50th? What are some of your favorite 50th memories?

This was my first adult trip at 18. It was only my second time to the park. It was also the trip that changed my like of Disney to obsession. There was a lot of first for me on this trip. We also had a pain of blank time getting our room. None of us a credit card, not being the age of majority in Canada. Lol. Looking back its hilarious. we went for a 3 day visit- our first and only flight. I don't recall a lot. I do have proof that we got the Ears- but not for me. What a blur. it was so hot and did we EVEN take a camera??? Lemme say...I take so many pics now, Lil and Baby get tired of it. hahaha - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint

I never take photos. My mom didn't really either. We only have a couple of pics of us at DL as kids--and my dad really dislikes DL, so he only went once or twice. Yes, you should! It will be so special to freeze such precious moments with your children that you'll always be able to look back on! Another huge priority for us is to video tape as much as we can in the parks. I went during the 50th celebration! My favorite part was the 'remember... dreams come true' fireworks and the parade of dreams. I got goosebumps when they started waving those gold flags at the show stops lol - rbeezy

We were! We went at Christmas & took my mother-in-law. She was more excited than our 10 year old daughter about riding in all the gold vehicles. She actually ran to the Dumbo one so her granddaughter could ride it. - toniasmith

😍😍 I miss the 50th anniversary so much!! I got my first annual pass that May when it all began! And Josh and I started our journey 7 years ago during the 50th and had the first of many visits to the parks!! I loved the Remember fireworks, I know they still have it but I miss the subtle differences where Julie Andrews would say "fifty years ago.." and the tribute to thunder mountain. Also I miss the parade of dreams and the electrical parade.. I know it was at DCA.. I wish they'd bring it back to Mainstreet! - SarahJoshDisney
