I heard a rumor that Disneyland is selling beer in the park. Is this true?
*sigh* I have already posted on this but why not again. I really hope these rumors are false. I think that it would be an absolute terrible idea for them to sell alcohol in Disneyland. I for one LOVE going to a place where you can't drink alcohol. If its that important to you to drink go right on over to DCA or Downtown Disney. Now I'm saying this as a non-drinking 21 year old, I could only imagine what a parent must feel like. Sorry end of rant. Have a great day everyone! 😊😘 - AshleyLynn22

*like* and agree. It's nice to go somewhere that's free of drunks. Plain and simple. - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2584.5 #21 9:47AM
I agree with you 100% I am a nondrinking almost 23 year old and like going to a place where no one drinks. - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #2995 9:52AM
Totally agree! If having a drink is THAT important go over to DCA or DTD...Why bring it into DL? - disneykimmi 115.7 #2806 9:56AM
It's why we don't really do DCA at night anymore. A lot of people can handle themselves well, but enough can't, and act like 🐴⭕'s, and that's not something you pay to be around. - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2584.5 #21 9:58AM
I approve of this comment and completely agree. No booze in the parks. I like a nip now and then but come on. - splashphotoCM 880.9 #101 1:43PM
As a person who got groped by a very drunk man at DCA, I really hope this is false. The last time I dressed nicely for an outing there. - MeridasHair 319.8 #523 1:56PM
I agree with you too. - meridafan 1037.2 #83 2:02PM
I like to drink every now and then but I totally agree with you! You bring alcohol into the equation and it brings in a whole different type of crowd. Then you have to deal with drunks and people vomiting. I'm not talking about everyone who drinks but those that abuse it. - kss4tink 216.8 #1398 2:41PM
I agree with you!!! - Kittymeowmeow 271.3 #815 2:48PM
I like and agree with all the previous comments. Teachercraig's experience is a good example of what can happen when alcohol is involved. Do you really need to be drunk to enjoy Disneyland? - jjdq 326.7 #491 3:19PM
I agree 100% I also heard this was true and I don't like it - BubbaLoo 826.2 #109 3:24PM
If they sold beer, would it be Mickeys? - ScooterMike

Would the also have a "Happiest Hour on Earth" special? - TheBudd 357.3 #397 9:26AM
Yep. It's happened. Today, Walt Disney World announced that it will start serving alcohol at the Magic Kingdom, once the new Be Our Guest restaurant opens in November.
From the Disney Parks blog, which tried to bury the news deep in a post about the restaurant's menu: - splashphotoCM

However it's important to note this is at the wdw magic kingdom park, not Disneyland - Pixarprincess 531.4 #215 1:54PM
I honestly hope that they keep DL 'dry'. If I want to drink, there's DCA, DTD or Trader Sam's. DL needs to be kept pure as it was intended. The only spirits in DL should be in the Haunted Mansion ...and Alice in Wonderland (oh, Timmy!)! - Gia

I've said this before and I'll say it again. If you need to drink to have a good time at Disneyland, you have a problem. - ScubaSteve028

My husband did hear over the radio that there were plans to open a restaurant that sells alcohol (i.e., wine and beer) in Disneyland. He said he didn't know how valid this was so at this point, it's just a rumor. - EpicDio

Yes, the new Be Our Guest restaurant at Disneyworld is going to be serving beer and wine within their restaurant only. You can't purchase it and walk around like at DCA. - MrsSchnooks 592.6 #185 9:02AM
^this! I heard the same thing and I am almost 100% positive it is WDW. Also, if I'm not mistaken it is the new resturant for the fantasyland expansion 'Be Our Guest' - Donaldfan_532 226.0 #1292 9:03AM
I heard that it was WDW...But I really don't think DL needs to sell alcohol...As SIC said, it's nice to go somewhere and not deal with "drunks"...Not saying that if DL served alcohol everyone who drank would get drunk, but there are those that can't control themselves and ruin something relaxing and enjoyable for others... - disneykimmi

If you are fortunate enough to get into Club 33 then yes the rumor is true. Anywhere else inside of Disneyland you cannot get alcohol. - vincentchase

Completely agree with Shadow. No alcohol. It's what Walt wanted. - streetsweeper

Yeah, wouldn't want to ruin the elitist attitude of those going to club 33 by letting just any person drink in DL... - Dipper_Pines

That's a bold statement... It's not about just anyone drinking in DL. It's about protecting the children. Lets be honest, people who spend lots of money on memberships to club 33 aren't going to get hammered and ruin a child's experience at the park. 😒 - hd198789 189.4 #1755 3:10PM
Well isn't somebody sore in the rear pore...? - NotSoDapperDan 303.3 #594 3:22PM
It's a family park not a bar - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #2995 3:38PM
I doubt that Disney couldn't control any drunks if it was ruining the magic or illusion of the park. To assume any person who will drink is just some drunk seems a little short sighted. Or maybe I want the mint julep to actually be a mint julep. ;) - Dipper_Pines

"You're in Disneyland, there are kids here! Does this guy not get that?" - NotSoDapperDan 303.3 #594 4:52PM
I like Disneyland as it is, without alcohol. If I feel like getting my drink on, DCA is a short walk away. I hope Dland stays alcohol-free. - grumpypapa
