Just heard on one of the Los Angeles news channel that between 10 and 11 30 am on Friday 21 st of September, the space shuttle endeavor will be doing a D Land flyover. Awesome picture opportunities. Keep your ears peeled.

Yes. It would be an awesome photo opportunity. My guess is they're gonna fly low enough so people on the ground can see the space shuttle "piggy backing". But not to low to cause panic. Probably why they're announcing the flybys as well. - Waites4DodgerEars

Mahalo for posting the link! - msdizmaui 519.0 #223 2:16AM
Thank you SO much for posting this! My flight gets into LAX at midnight the night before, but I'll definately want to make sure I'm awake for this! Anyone know what direction it will be coming from. Sounds stupid, but I really don't want to miss this. - msdizmaui

Not stupid at all!!! I posted below, I think it is coming down from northern Cali, then looping through DL then back through the LA landmarks, but not sure if it coming down through middle Cali or over the ocean. I wish I could get there early enough to see it but I will probably just see if it goes over our house!! - secretagentangel 670.0 #154 2:21AM
I should have watched the news story before posting. It'll be coming from the North, so at least I'll know which way to look! - msdizmaui 519.0 #223 2:31AM
The Anaheim park is one of several Los Angeles-area landmarks that space shuttle Endeavour will fly over before landing Friday morning at Los Angeles International Airport, according to NASA. Also on deck: the Getty Center, Griffith Observatory and the California Science Center, the retired orbiter's new permanent home, this from the LA Times. I guess it starts at Edwards, goes to Sacramento and then SF, then comes back down to go through OC and then back to LAX, because you cannot really move to or visit California unless you go to DL!! - secretagentangel

According to NASA it will be at 1500 feet. You will be able to really see it well. FYI this is the last time you will ever see a piggy back. - MeridasHair
