Three questions for you lovely MWers. 1. What is Club 33 (honestly, I don't know. Let the teasing and admonishing begin) 2. Is the Ramada Main Gate decent? 3. Is there a certain way to identify fellow MWers in the park and is there an unspoken "code of conduct" or unwritten rules I should know about? Thanks:)
Club 33 is a member-only restaurant/club in New Orleans Square. Walt was inspired to build this after seeing these kind of VIP-only places at the World's Fair. This would be a place where Walt would entertain his honored guests or escape from the crowds. Unfortunately, Walt passed too soon to enjoy most of the club. Today, it is a member-only club (which also has some heavy funds). In order to dine there, you must be a member or be invited by a member. Also, the club is the only place in DL where alcohol is sold and there is a dress code. - BaseballMickey_CM

Well, no alcohol for now. Since the Magic Kingdom is serving it soon in the new Fantasyland, it won't be long before they do it here. Money, money, money. - ScottOnWheels 231.9 #1213 7:16PM
Man I hope not. Not to be that person...but I love the fact that you can't drink in Disneyland.π - AshleyLynn22 747.6 #136 7:18PM
Magic Kingdom is serving beer and wine only in one restaurant only at dinner and it cannot leave the restaurant. It was done because the Be our Guest restaurant wants to be looked at as authentic French cuisine and for any food critic to even look at it French food has to be served with wine. It was necessary to tell the story. - lostgirl7988 541.3 #208 7:19PM
Wow! Thank you! Ok, so I wont ask to get in then:) read that rule! - templeclan 54.8 #3652 7:22PM
I personally hate alcohol served in the park... - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #2984 7:24PM
MWers reflect Disney magic. So our skin glimmers. Kinda like vampires, but better. - Mouse4life

Some Mousewaiters have buttons. I don't. Just say Hi. The bulk of us are very friendly and nice. - MeridasHair

The history of 33 is very interesting, you can look it up ;) - PiratePrincess03 103.8 #2984 6:02PM
Yes, I always wear my MW button in the parks. You should join a meet up. Suddenly you will realize that we are everywhere. π - Vegan7LuvsStitch 798.6 #116 10:33PM
Can I count this as a reference question at work? I think I will! Ok so if you google "club 33 Disneyland" the first link at the top will be a direct link to the Disney website discussing what it is. Thanks for the stat at my library ref desk! - PickyPicky

Easy way to identify a MWer is to look for people who walk up to a wait time sign, look at it, pull out phone for a second and punch something in, and walk off to repeat the same motion. Also look for large crowds blocking walkways and exits all looking at their phones. - shadowgamer

I do this all the time! But im shy to say hi to a fellow MWer :) - otilegna 839.1 #107 8:46PM
I believe Club 33 is a private membership only club that has a years' long or even closed membership waiting list. It is a restaurant and I believe it is located next to the Blue Bayou, but does not have a marked door. Anyone can correct me where i am wrong. That is what I have gathered from reading other posts. - meridafan

The wait list was recently opened. π - bluefairy 627.0 #173 9:08PM
How to identify MWers: the people in the parks looking down at their phones. Secret handshake: if you're shaking my hand, then you're supposed to hand me a churro. Unwritten rule: no booty slapping without permission. - LittleAprilShowers

Just scream MouseWait in large crowds of people, and see who answers. - DisneyFanZoe

Do this, and no one will answer, but everyone will be staring at you. π³ππππ - bluefairy 627.0 #173 9:10PM
So just come on up and say "are you a MWer?" No secret handshake? ;) - templeclan

This made me laugh. I wear my MW button and usually ppl shout out "MOUSE WAIT!", I look around aimlessly until they come high five me. Lol Still no handshake... unless that was it? - 559MickeyLover 266.9 #853 8:04PM
Where did u get said button? High five.... Hmm no one would even THINK of that being secret. Well played MWers.... - templeclan 54.8 #3652 10:43PM
I will answer number 2. Ramada Main Gate is alright because it is close to the park. However, there are times that the rate is so high! If ur into Ramada Brand, i prefer Ramada Plaza. Longer walk but more comfy - otilegna

I booked forever ago and got a great rate. I was just hoping i didnt get a dud. I tried HoJos but it was booked:( - templeclan 54.8 #3652 7:01PM
Awww. Try Ramada Plaza, but there are times it is high or the only available are the one with sofa bed - otilegna 839.1 #107 8:45PM
