please help us with hotel choices. we usually stay onsite but are going to stay off site in oct. any suggestions would be great, or anywhere you don't recommend. it doesnt have to be walking distance. just somewhere inexpensive without being 'cheap' if ya know what i mean. :) TIA

Howard Johnson... MW discounts and the official hotel of MW! - IMissDisney  1205.7 #144 12:49PM
Hojo - Mouse4life  1679.6 #100 12:56PM
Ok, other than hojo. Besides i just checked and they are booked the dates we're going. Thanks. - katiesarahmommy  264.6 #1218 12:58PM
Well if you can't do HoJo then jump on Priceline and search for 3 stars with a $60 bid. In the Anaheim area. That should put you in a reasonably priced decent hotel. - IMissDisney  1205.7 #144 1:02PM
Anabella is nice. It's on Katella - a short walk through the Grand. Onsite restaurants and features of a "bigger" hotel. - msdizmaui  716.8 #270 1:02PM
i have heard good things about that place - misschurro  6361.2 #17 1:02PM
The restaurant there is really good .. - DisneyMe2Death  875.0 #212 1:20PM
Ok i'll look that one up. - katiesarahmommy  264.6 #1218 1:37PM
you can choose wood floors or carpeted - misschurro  6361.2 #17 2:07PM
We walked by it several times coming and going between disneyland and the hilton. It looked very nice and at a nice location. We wished we were staying there each time we dragged ourselves passed it at 1:00 am on our way back to our room. - jjdq  338.0 #712 5:25PM
I always always stay at motel6 - MrsMears  217.1 #1773 1:03PM

My Husband and I stay at Del Sol across from the maingate whenever we stay for a couple of days in the area and it's usually like $49 a night with breakfast included and is clean, smells good with great service :) - TinkerLizzy  0.5 #80185 1:21PM
Wow how did u find rates that cheap for del sol? We are staying there in 2 weeks but are paying i believe 97 a night - StitchPrincess  84.5 #3850 4:58PM
The Tropicana is close and comfortable. - handdmom  238.7 #1486 1:22PM
We always stay at the candycane :) - rochellebrady  17.4 #7905 1:22PM
I like tropicana. It's right at the entrance so easy walking, no shuttle. The fairfield is nice. Little further down but still walking distance. - girlzstylin  227.6 #1640 1:33PM
Thanks everyone. I guess we just have to choose and hope for the best since most hotels have good and bad reviews so its hard to tell. - katiesarahmommy  264.6 #1218 1:38PM
Please check out best western stovalls on katella. We stay there everytime we go to DL. Micheal is the manager very nice staff, clean and free breakfast - mydisney  19.5 #7452 2:01PM
Carousel for close proximity. Ramada Plaza for great free breakfast and free parking! If you don't wish to walk, you can catch ART directly in front of hotel. - PoppinsWoo  329.7 #752 1:45PM
We always stay at The Hilton. It's really quite reasonably priced and literally a short block to the Toy Story parking. The rooms are immaculate and well equipped. Have fun! - OhBother  202.7 #1964 2:05PM
We just stayed there a month ago and we were pleased with it. It was clean. They also let us check in at 10:00 am, which was wonderful after driving all night from Utah. Just wish it had been a closer walk at night. - jjdq  338.0 #712 5:29PM
we are trying the staybridge hurd lots of good stuff - mousedaddy  262.4 #1236 2:10PM
Never ever ever stay at the castle in, found a Roach there. Plus the room was not acceptable. - Luv-Mickey  27.9 #6193 2:12PM
Thanks - katiesarahmommy  264.6 #1218 2:15PM
Accidentally stayed there once. Never again - LaPearleNoir  1789.4 #94 5:56PM
We always stay at Super 8 on Katella. The stay is really friendly. Never had an issues. - vegasbrat  420.4 #530 2:17PM
The Red lion inn is nice, my hubby and i stayed for our honeymoon and it's close to toy story parking lot! - xtigerxlilyx  83.0 #3882 2:41PM
I've stayed there. Great staff. Nice rooms. No free breakfast. - IMissDisney  1205.7 #144 2:42PM
We stay at the Hilton. - MeridasHair  346.5 #688 2:44PM
My wife and usually stay at the Hilton across the street . Beds are super comfy and the rooms are really nice plus there's a nice view if the parks if you get the right room ! - snakeinmyboot40  394.0 #572 2:45PM
Del Sol Inn. We always stay there. Across the street from the park, next to a Denny's and Ihop, mini fridge and microwave in room, basic continental breakfast, they offer "bunk bed suites" if you have little ones. They are clean, comfortable and affordable rooms - melissa_ficent  318.6 #810 2:47PM
The Sheraton right next to the park is great. Last two times we've stayed there, we've scored a great deal on the King's Suite, Disney view & all, through Hotels.com ($75 for a Friday!!) Also, check Groupon, as they recently had a deal for a hotel in Fullerton, 10 minutes from the Parks! - GrimGrinningAmanda  666.9 #302 4:01PM
We always stay at the best western park place inn. Its right across the street and the rooms are clean - Disneyprincessmommy  213.1 #1827 4:43PM
We stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites last time we went. It was the off-season so the rates were good. It's right across the street from the entrance so we didn't have to walk too far at the end of the night when our feet were dying. - treradical  126.2 #3097 4:47PM
Doubletree, peacock inn and suites, hojo - Splashmountgirl  337.1 #718 4:53PM
We love the Hojo, Sheraton Park, Hilton, Candy Cane and the Sheraton right off the 5 (the last 2 have a free shuttle to the parks). Please avoid (like the plague) the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. - Linzee  1188.1 #146 4:54PM
Ramada Plaza at Harbor-Katella. Days Inn at Harbor-Ball is good too - otilegna  2664.8 #48 5:02PM
We stayed at the Carousel Inn and Suites last time. It was clean and only a 5min walk. The continental breakfast wasn't the greatest tho. We are staying at the Marriot next week. It's supposed to be one of the better hotels in the area. - PrincessDelaine  212.9 #1834 5:12PM
We stayed ay the carousel last weekend and had a horrible experience... Ac broke, fridge n microwave didnt work, no remote, and no proper bath mat in which my 4 yr old slipped and hit his head on the back of the tub.. Dont think we will be returning there anytime soon. - DisneyMe2Death  875.0 #212 5:17PM
oh no! And it was hot last week. did you notify mgmt? - misschurro  6361.2 #17 5:31PM
πŸ‘†Carousel is a hit and a miss. But great location. We had enough misses that we don't stay there anymore especially since they seem to be more costly. - jjdq  338.0 #712 5:32PM
We like the Best Western Park Place inn and mini suites - LaPearleNoir  1789.4 #94 5:59PM
