please help us with hotel choices. we usually stay onsite but are going to stay off site in oct. any suggestions would be great, or anywhere you don't recommend. it doesnt have to be walking distance. just somewhere inexpensive without being 'cheap' if ya know what i mean. :) TIA

Well if you can't do HoJo then jump on Priceline and search for 3 stars with a $60 bid. In the Anaheim area. That should put you in a reasonably priced decent hotel. - MyPark 943.7 #91 1:02PM
Anabella is nice. It's on Katella - a short walk through the Grand. Onsite restaurants and features of a "bigger" hotel. - msdizmaui

We walked by it several times coming and going between disneyland and the hilton. It looked very nice and at a nice location. We wished we were staying there each time we dragged ourselves passed it at 1:00 am on our way back to our room. - jjdq 326.7 #490 5:25PM

My Husband and I stay at Del Sol across from the maingate whenever we stay for a couple of days in the area and it's usually like $49 a night with breakfast included and is clean, smells good with great service :) - TinkerLizzy

I like tropicana. It's right at the entrance so easy walking, no shuttle. The fairfield is nice. Little further down but still walking distance. - girlzstylin

Carousel for close proximity. Ramada Plaza for great free breakfast and free parking! If you don't wish to walk, you can catch ART directly in front of hotel. - PoppinsWoo

We always stay at The Hilton. It's really quite reasonably priced and literally a short block to the Toy Story parking. The rooms are immaculate and well equipped. Have fun! - OhBother

Del Sol Inn. We always stay there. Across the street from the park, next to a Denny's and Ihop, mini fridge and microwave in room, basic continental breakfast, they offer "bunk bed suites" if you have little ones. They are clean, comfortable and affordable rooms - melissa_ficent

The Sheraton right next to the park is great. Last two times we've stayed there, we've scored a great deal on the King's Suite, Disney view & all, through Hotels.com ($75 for a Friday!!) Also, check Groupon, as they recently had a deal for a hotel in Fullerton, 10 minutes from the Parks! - GrimGrinningAmanda

We stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites last time we went. It was the off-season so the rates were good. It's right across the street from the entrance so we didn't have to walk too far at the end of the night when our feet were dying. - treradical

We love the Hojo, Sheraton Park, Hilton, Candy Cane and the Sheraton right off the 5 (the last 2 have a free shuttle to the parks). Please avoid (like the plague) the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. - Linzee

We stayed at the Carousel Inn and Suites last time. It was clean and only a 5min walk. The continental breakfast wasn't the greatest tho. We are staying at the Marriot next week. It's supposed to be one of the better hotels in the area. - PrincessDelaine

We stayed ay the carousel last weekend and had a horrible experience... Ac broke, fridge n microwave didnt work, no remote, and no proper bath mat in which my 4 yr old slipped and hit his head on the back of the tub..
