Last night at the "Get Spookier" meet-up, we learned a lot of information... There are over 400 pumpkins on Main Street alone!! Each window display on Main Street has pumpkins that relate to the window they are in, so pay close attention to them!! There are over 1000 pumpkins, real and fake, in DL for Halloween. Sparky's gravestone was a surprise to Brian Sandahl. Brian is the one who comes up with all of the creative ideas you see in HMH, on Main Street and everything during Christmas. He said that they are hoping for an animatronic Sally within the next few years!!!! Every year, Brian puts something new in the HMH. This year it was the gingerbread house!! Next year will be the 13th anniv of the NBC overlay and it will be opening on Friday the 13th!!! He said that we can expect something really awesome for next year!!! He did talk about WDW possibly getting the NBC overlay, as they just gave a presentation to them for it. He also mentioned another theme park that might be getting the IASW overlay as well, but would not tell us who. As far as the decor for DCA, they did not want to have Halloween decorations the first year of BVS and Carsland bc they didn't want to take away from the newness of them. We can expect some Halloween decor in the next few years. He did however say that we will be blown away by what is coming this Christmas on BVS and especially Carsland!! So all those that are wondering if the newly renovated DCA will be decorated for Christmas, the answer is YES!! I can't wait to see what they do!! 🎃👻🎅🎄🎁
