We planned our vacation based on last years crowd index this time of year ( it was super quiet this time of year last year) what's going on its still crazy packed just like all summer?
Any day at Disneyland is better than a day in real life ;) Our dates are Oct 12-15. I'm expecting moderate crowds. - GoofyMom77

It's not just cars land that's packed it everywhere. In Disneyland and dca. Sometimes during the day you'll get less crowded spots in dca but not in Disneyland at all. - Disneymomab

It may be quiet till Friday at Disneyland. They have four major rides shut down for refurbishment or holiday changeover. That may affect the crowds on that side. - Waites4DodgerEars

It will depend on which days you are plannig on going. don't forget that on Tuesdays and Fridays are the Halloween party. DL closes at 7:00 PM for these nights. - MikeyMouse

Wait times do not seem to be that bad today. Splash Mt has a wait time of 35 minutes which is short for that ride. Fridays and Sunday's will be busy for a little while due to aps recently becoming unblocked. - aidensmama

We are leaving for our Disney trip on Wednesday and arriving on Friday. When we were looking at hotels a couple months back we were told that there are a couple big conventions at that time so lots of hotels are booked solid and the park may be busy. My wife also heard that at least one of the conventions is going to be morning only so convention people will have the afternoons off to enjoy the parks. - justme2012
