Going to the parks Friday with no kids never been since I started haveing kids, those that have kids do u feel guilty or get over it?

My wife and I did about 1 months ago. No strollers, no snacks, we felt so guilty. Lasted about 10 mins. It's nice to get away and spend some time enjoying the parks without having to worry about the little ones. Have a great time :-) - Disneyfreak111  59.4 #3583 1:31AM
Guilty and don't get over it until I get home and wish I can do it again after the 80th time of telling my boys NO Running in the house. Then I instantly don't regret that I went! - thumperette  29.1 #4416 6:15AM

Get over it quickly. I do what I want. Have a adult beverage, sit on a bench for hours. visit my (as they say) weird MW friends. It is amazing! - Katrayher  739.0 #138 1:11AM

Its good to go every now and then with no kids. And its dapper day on Friday! - Mickeymouse28  345.9 #421 5:29AM
I'll be there in December without my kids. I feel a little guilty... However, this will probably be the only time this happens. Plus, we go to DL quite a bit so I I don't think they will be sad. - LaPearleNoir  573.6 #192 5:56AM
Get over it quickly. I am a true believe that parents need time away from their kids just to be adults and have fun. My parents would go away to places together when I was a child and it never bothered me.:) - aidensmama  336.5 #445 6:07AM
I do it, it feels amazing!! Yah the guilt is there but I know I deserve it too! - MarshaMouse  2869.8 #15 6:24AM
Feel guilty but still enjoy - E-Ticket  772.4 #128 6:29AM
I always leave the boys with the wife in the hotel at night. She is tired of walking, the kids actually get some sleep so they arent tired the next day and I get 2-4 hours (depending on when the park closes) by myself. Its a win, win, win situation. I am taking them to the Mad T Party one of the nights since they missed Electronica (feel a bit guilty about that). - justme2012  142.5 #2401 6:42AM
No guilt! Enjoy your day, recharge your parent batteries, and take lots of pics. 😊 - WishIWereThere  227.4 #1279 7:56AM

I think the guilt feeling never goes away for me but throughout the day it goes away when I see how many things/rides you can do without them. - annjay07  134.6 #2525 8:39AM
I'm good till I see something my daughter would enjoy then I wish she was there ! - snakeinmyboot40  270.4 #821 8:56AM
I went 1 time without my daughter before we had our son and i have not done that ever since i feel like part of the fun in it all is sharing te experience with your kids at least that is where alot of my joy comes from. I did not have fun when my husband and i went without her and i have never done it again but everyone is different that is just me experience and thoughts.😊 - missdisney925  105.7 #2969 9:35AM
One of my family members goes without her daughter. Her daughter hadn't been to Disney in 4 years. Yet her mom had been going with her boyfriend multiple times in one year. When the daughter found out she cried. It infuriates my family so we took her ourselves :) I know that isn't the case for most of u guys but still. - ZippADeeDani  142.0 #2411 9:52AM
Kudos to you for stepping up. So sad for the girl, but I hope she had a magical time with you... - CVDisneyland  256.9 #934 10:01AM
Yes! She's at that age 12 going on 13 and shes over the small rides and loves the fast ones =] it was fun for us because we got to see the magic through her eyes - ZippADeeDani  142.0 #2411 10:43AM
No guilt here. It's great to be able to ride rides with my hubby and not switch out. We go pretty often so they are not missing out on anything. - Minnique  451.8 #272 10:12AM
I enjoy trips with or without my daughter for various reasons. It's nice to be able to go on some of the rides she is either too small or afraid of. It's also wonderful to have fun and act like a kid with her. - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 10:47AM
No guilt here. We take our kids once a year. We've only gone twice by ourselves. I love going to the Parks and watching everything through their eyes, but being able to ride, watch and eat whatever we want alone is great. Without the kids we get to stay out later and no stroller is always a plus.😃 - CherryTreeLane  456.4 #269 10:55AM
Yes I'm going to feel lost without the stroller so use to haveing it - blkpearl  11.3 #6397 11:07AM
