I really want to get an AP but I live in the Bay Area. Anyone in a similar situation have advice or thoughts? TIA😊
If you are in the park more than 6 days for the year, it's worth it.

I'm from Las Vegas and have an AP. Usually make two planned trips a year with each one being about three days each. There are usually one or two other trips when I decide to drive down for an Angels game. It's worth having an AP anyways because if you go more than twice a year with a total of six days it pays for itself. Also, with an AP you get discounts at most food places and in the stores not to mention the hotels. - KermitFan13

Its worth it if you can go at least 3 times a yr, including your renewal trip. We did this and it works out to be cheaper. Only one of you need to be premium holder for parking and discounts, but you need to check your dates for block outs if you do delux :) - mrscttlemstr

We live in R P. love the AP. makes it so much easier to jump in the car and drive down for a weekend if you don't have to buy park hoppers. Plus the discounts you get, well let say we spen alot of money when we go, the AP has already saved us more than it cost to buy it. - MrsBANGARANG707

How many times do you plan to go? I live in Sac area and we get one because we go at least once a year so we plan the 2 trips to be in the same time frame and of you buy 2 3 day park hoppers it's cheaper for the pass so it just makes sense. - brodysmommy

I live in the bay too and it's been worth it so far. We go pretty often though (once a month or maybe 2 or 3 months). Sometimes we drive, sometimes we fly. We have the premium pass so we get free parking which is $15 a day, plus discount on merchandise and food. We pack snacks, but not enough for our entire trips so the discounts come in handy. So if you take into account the discounts and you plan on going more than 2 times a year, it's a pretty good investment. Plus, you have the option to pay monthly for your AP, which luckily i can afford :D - ZeeAlice

Definitely a tougher decision after the price increase, but as the others have said, just a couple trips a year makes it worthwhile. If you stay at one of the DLR hotels, it saves you 10% per night. Then there's the 10-20% discount on food and merchandise. So the savings really do add up. The monthly payment plan is a definite plus, too. - meridafan

Santa got us our first AP's for Christmas 2011. We go for 3-4 days/trip. So far we've been after New Years, spring time, a long summer trip(5 days), and we have two maybe three more trips to come before they're expired. We have Delux passes, do the name your own price thing, and bring snacks and have a meal in our room everyday of the trip, usually breakfast. Sometimes we'll eat an early dinner in the room if we go back for breaks or a swim - GoofyMom77

I dont even live in the USA and I have an AP just because it is worth it if you are in the park for a week out of the year. Add in discounts on any food and merchandise and its even more so. Buy one. You wont regret it. - justme2012

I live in the Monterey Area we have annual passes and have gone 3x's so far this year and will probably be going some more it is a better deal to get passes cause when u go 1x u have to pay $250 just for a 4 day pass. They say if you go 3-4 times in one year it more than pays for itself!! 😊 - missdisney925
