I just have to share! I did both the 5K and the Half this past weekend....what an amazing experience!! When I started training in January, I didn't realize I would be running in memory of my Dad, who we lost in July. There was one point during the run when I was running into the sunrise and the song "Love Without End" (Daddy's don't just love their children every now and then, it's a love without end, amen)...I knew my Dad with be with me in spirit and that song along with the sunrise was a beautiful confirmation for me. What a magical time!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your journey through this all with us:) I am just so darn proud of you and was so happy I got to see you and say hi after both races! I too had a similar experience in my first half.... I swear my grandma was running aside me. In the tink as I turned the corner so that the finish line was in sight, THe Beatles here comes the sun came on my music..... I have about 500 songs on my phone and of all of them that was my grandmas favorite. I was over filled with emotions when that song came on because the whole time I felt like I was begging for her to give me strength.... and in the last part when I needed her the most she was letting me know she was there watching:) Lov ya lady! - BooEve123
